I am writing in regards to my experience at APU further known as American Public University Systems. In regards to the Financial Aid Office which is an nightmare. When calling to ask questions regarding your financial aid you are never put through to a live operator only you are given a message " We are not available now please leave your name and number and we will return your call within 72 hours".

My problems started only in June of 2011 when I started my first semester at which time I was packaged for financial aid and received a disbursement of my federal loan in which the school took for fees and the classes which is understandable, I was supposed to be disbursed my federal Pell Grant June 24,2011 only to find they had a glitch in their system that prevented 20,000+ students from receiving their award that is neede to to complete courses (students rely on this funding for school expenses ) these monies were not awarded until the start of a new semester in August in which I had to drop classes to keep from getting failing grades again due to my computer needing repair.

Here it is October 2011 and the same thing is happening all over no Pell Disbursement no Loan disbursement and again needing financial aid assistance to continue. There is no one answer everytime you call you are told something different and there is never a response I have left several messages and still no return call as well as several e-mail messages what is the problem over at APU???? there is lack of knowledge from the refund processing department and there is little or no answers I am getting tired of the researching issues no return telephone calls or e-mail returns and or correspondence???

So what is a student supposed to do??? these rip-off for profit online schools are a joke to APU's defense the education is great however it is sometimes impossible to get your online books, the customer service is terrible and as well as communication there is no way to verify their checks so students are not able to cash them in a timely manner, I have just had it with this school can someone please help?????? It's a financial bazaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar over at American Public University!!!!!
