It wasn't too long ago that Indonesia had that huge Tsumani that killed so many people.

And I remember former President George Herbert Walker Bush and his newest, bestest buddy William Jefferson Clinton ( Another Former President whose reuptation for truth telling, well, let us just say it is a little compromised at best...) were going around soliciting DONATIONS -- to be paid IN CASH to them.... I believe they may have mentioned that they were going to give some of any money collected to the AMERICAN RED CROSS.

You have to wonder... I did.

And my pocketbook stayed closed.

There was millions upon millions of dollars worth of money donated shortly after 911 to the American Red Cross and other "worthy charities" and yet supplies, etc. consistently keep coming up short...

You have to wonder...

Mrs. Cheney writes a book and donated some of the proceeds to .. THE AMERICAN RED CROSS. Where does THAT money go?

As I write this, I am in a public library. My house is in ruins and further deteriorating as a result of almost non-stop rain we have been having since May, 2007 and the roof has fallen in in places. It is cold and all I have is a serape!

It would be nice to have a place to stay BUT RED CROSS WOULDN'T AND COULDN'T HELP ME. THEY TRIED TO HAVE MY HOME CONDEMNED AS A BLIGHT AND TAKEN AWAY FROM ME BY EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS! They are suppose to help people find temporary housing in times like this. Maybe I can push my luck and they will find the right agency this time and get my house taken away from me --and I will STILL have no place to live.

I am rather cold and hungry right now and still trying to keep my job.

I SURE WOULD LIKE TO SEE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS ON THE INCOMES OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS AND THOSE OF THE PEOPLE ON THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES.

WHERE INDEED DOES THE MONEY GO BECAUSE IT DOESN'T APPEAR TO HELP ANYONE WHO IS ACTUALLY IN NEED?

I talked with the Katrina evacuatees who are around town here and they said the same sort of stuff happened to them that happened to me. The so-called rescue workers could hardly wait to hustle them out of town and many lost their homes --one way or the other.

WHAT KIND OF EMINENT DOMAIN SCAM IS BEING RUN HERE, if any?

There is only one thing worse than playing stupid and mean yuppie political mind games with hurting, confused and poverty-stricken people's misery --and that is PROFITEERING from suffering people and NOT providing them with the aid that you CLAIM to provide.

This is FRAUD. I think it would be a Third to Second Degree felony here-- possibly more --depending on how much fraudently obtained money was obtained!

IRS ought to consider REVOKING THE AMERICAN RED CROSS TAX-FREE status if they are NOT doing what they said they were going to do in order to obtain that classification in the first place!

I recently heard that the original RED CROSS is based out of Switzerland, same as most of the New World Order and One World Government advocates which MIGHT give you a hint where some of the money COULD go.

If the Red Cross is ACTUALLY helping someone, I sure haven't met them.

Due to extreme circumstances beyone our control my wife and I had nowhere to go BUT the red cross emergency shelter here in the springs. These people took Excellent care of us both mentally and physically, I do not think that the Entire organization deserves such a bad rap for some things that may or may not go on at specific locations. Example : the governement as a concept is fantastic, but SOME of the people in it are detremental to fulfilling the idea.
when we first arrived at the shelter here they only had aluminum cots for folks to sleep on, the building was run down, and most of the appliances and bathroom facilities were in need of repair, this was all post 9/11 by the way. It took us about 3 and a half months to get back on our feet and out of there, in that time we saw them do MAJOR repairs/remodel/and upgrades to the entire facitlity. cleaning out the air ducts, and several of the aforementioned NEEDED repains were made also. it is hard to be on the bottom of the BOTTOM of the food chain.. and even worse when you are forced to be in such a gloomy facility, but you would be amazed at what a coat of paint and some plywood bunk beds will do to brighten your spirits. i cannot speak for every red corss, But the one In colorado springs saved our lives and our sanity and kept us from ening up in dead on the street, or in the hospital from exposure.
personally I would re evaluate the words I choose to use when "attacking" any broad field organization.

Just my opinion take it for what it is worth.
