American Refrigeration Severely Unsanitary, Cockroach Infested Appliance Bronx, New York

First of all, on Friday, June 8, 2012, we went to American Refrigeration and put a $50 deposit on a refrigerator, which this company was supposed to deliver the following day at 5 p.m. The price of the used appliance was $180.00 plus $45 for the delivery.Problem number one, they didn't come until a day later. Trying to get them on the phone was impossible. Either they just wouldn't pick up the phone, and when they finally did, we could not understand what they were saying in very poor English. Finally, after leaving a message on their telephone that we would go down and pick up our deposit, finally we heard from one of the workers that they would come the next day. Finally we received the refrigerator, after all this aggravation. But worse problems were about to come.

 When the refrigerator was installed, all these cockroaches were coming out of the refrigerator all over the place. We tried bug spray, but this did not resolve the problem. After looking thoroughly to try to find where all the cockroaches were coming from, we found three nests behind the rubber seal, both refrigerator and freezer. I had to remove the seals and thoroughly clean out all the cockroaches and eggs that were there. This was the most disgusting job I ever had to do in my entire life!!!! This nasty, unsanitary appliance store should be reported to the Department of Health for these horribly unsanitary conditions, especially nobody wants to have an appliance where cockroaches are living inside, where you have to store food. This filthy place should be closed down by the Department of Health. In addition, they should be publicized on the television news for their disgracefully disgusting, aggravating, unsanitary conditions.
