After multiple emails to Howard Leventhal trying to substantiate the validity of his distributorship, I ordered his sample pack for $100 plus $25 shipping fee, at his prompting. I received the package postmarked from Miami which is 250 miles from my home. It cost $9.77 to ship it per UPS (10lbs). He made $15.23 just in shipping. The items in the sample pack totaled less than $45.00 calculated from the retail prices on his website. I called to get my money back. He refused, saying you can't get a refund on the sample pack. Clearly on his website it states, "If not totally satified, a full refund will be issued upon receipt of the returned item. Call customer service for returned goods instructions." I contacted one of his distributors. She had nothing good to say about this guy. She's been fighting with him since day one (2 years later) and has lost money. Stay away from this guy or contact some of his distributors (search for towels-scrubs), all of their websites are virtually identical to the American Supply site. Then contact the individual distributors. I was surprised how candid she was. This guy is a crook. Stay clear.

he states he did not go out and show the samples and made a negative remark with no experience supplying these products at all. thats sounds real fair, all he had to do was show a few towels to who cuts his hair, or a scrub to a vet, or dentist, then he could see the customers interest, he has judged a book by its cover, and we all know what that means, for a cpa who has to follow rules , why dont you follow the ones i have on the site to show the samples, you have done nothing but complain and i have tried every way to resolve this, you expect money to roll in without lifting a finger, again i rep all the different qualities, from small to big thick towels, not all hotels use the same towel, so if he would of gone into the field he would of seen this, so how can i help when he does not follow very simple directions if he is so worried about this business, what does he think they are using now, its like gas if they are paying 3 per gallon and you send them a coupon for 2 they wont drain their tank but as soon as they need gas they will pay the 2, how hard can this be, he is overanalizing this way beyond needed, this is a basic supply business doing billions every year, and the growth is going to triple in 3 years thank you howard

Where's my refund?

After Howard initially hung up on me prior to my original report,he subsequently told me he would refund my money as soon as it was returned to Dade Towel. I returned it on 11/13/06. It actually only cost $7.94 to return it. I overstated the price in the original report. I have still not seen the refund. He also did not respond to my email acknowledging the I returned the goods. Howard, the UPS tracking number is 1ZX611X20312922989.

Also he claims I agreed to go out and show the samples to the "market". I never agreed to any such thing. I wanted to see the quality of the merchandise. It was a box of junk that he charged twice his retail price and then gouged me on the shipping. When people do their due diligence on his business and complain, he claims they're lazy. Howard, I've been a CPA for 25 years, come and work next tax season with me and I'll show you lazy.

You are the one over-inflating the rates-not them. The customer doesn't live on the "West Coast". They have a shipping calculator right on their site. Even the customer was able to figure it out.

The customer is apparently not lazy to go through all the work to try to get the refund promised due to appease his dissatisfaction.

this person, never even followed my simple instructions to show the products to the target markets, as per the ups charge, we have to have one fee for the whole united states, and so the 25 dollars covers to the west coast, , complain to ups about the rates, or the gas companies, we are in the towel busines with the largest mills, like dundee, west point , springs, martex, if this person is bad mouthing them , then he has the right, but these companies are the backbone to many cities, and an insult to the thousands of hard working people that produce the best products in the world, is an insult to america,

i have never had anyone not join once they showed the samples to the target markets, so why in the world is this person not getting off the couch and working, this is not a free ride, if you want to check out a business, dont you think showing the samples and seeing if there is a postive interest with the customers to do business with you, this person may be looking for a social club which we are not, i have been in busines for over 30 years in this industry and have owned 4 stores, 2 of them here in arizona and they do almost a million dollars a year in sales, , i only earn a commission from his sales, so it is only in my interest to help. but when people refuse to lift a finger to do some honest investigating , and yet complain without any checking what do you do,

i am here 7 days a week full time, i answer all calls, and welcome the full checking that our products and the samples will produce customers, and a business in a billion dollar industry that i did not invent, i only try very hard to help people have a better life to spend more time with the family or whatever they like, thank you howard leventhal
