American Trade Association seemed to be the perfect solution for my health care needs. They were professional and seemed legit. After I signed up, they called me directly to get more information (method of payment, social security number etc.) I gave them this info in trust (I forgot that I live in the scandalous America) they sent me a welcome package with very convincing insurance cards and benefit cards along with my coverage info and contact numbers for customer service. I began my coverage on 9/1/2009. I went to the doctors for regular check ups etc. a few times since being covered. Then out of the blue I decide to call them about coverage for Infertility and the number just kept ringing for two days straight(this was 3/31/2010) so I decided to call a number listed on the back of the insurance card and it was to a third party company they used for discount medicine and the operator told me that ATA had terminated their contract with them on 2/26/2010. Surprisingly they never informed me of any cancellations of anything. Every month they were deducting $198 from my checking account. After they disappeared from earth they tried to clean out my account by deducting two extra payments of $198 and another for $223.44 on 3/1/2010. When my account was empty they tried to take another $198 on 3/29/2010 and it bounced so the bank sent me an insufficient fee. So I ordered a copy of my checking account history and thats when I knew they were a fraud and was stealing money from me. Now I have to go through all of this ID theft crap, file disputes with my bank and I have no way of finding this company. Please be careful EVERYTHING is decieving in this world today. I am currently uninsured and plan to stay that way
