I rented a car from Hertz Rental Car on Aug 4-8. Went from DFW to Little Rock, Ark and back. Returned the car on the morning of 8/7. Today 8/19 at 3:48am American Traffic Solutions debits my credit card for 10.46. I called the bank and they gave me the information for this company and I looked them up and immediately found out they are scamming folks. I called the company and 1 of their reps told me that Hertz rental car gave them authorization to charge my credit card for this toll charge. It was a .46 toll which I never went through but they charge me 10.46!!!! This is outrageous and I told them so. They opened a investigation and told me they would call me back. Meanwhile, I call Hertz and they advise that they do not know WHO American Traffic SOlutions are and that they only know about Plate Pass and gave me a # to call. It was Plate Pass who advised that they do business with American Traffic Solutions and they gave authorization to charge my credit card for this .46 toll. Seriously!!!! I called Hertz back and advised them of above which they had no idea about and said that it was out of their hands. I advised them that I would NEVER rent another car from HERTZ because this is FRAUD at its finest!!! UGH! Now I am waiting for this AMerican Traffic SOlutions to refund my money. How do you get 10.46 out of a .46 toll. BULLS**T! PLEASE BOYCOTT HERTZ RENTAL IF YOU DO NOT WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW AND USE YOUR CREDIT CARD WITHOUT YOUR AUTHORIZATION. NOW I HAVE TO GET A NEW CREDIT CARD # AS I DO NOT KNOW WHO ELSE WILL BE PUTTING CHARGES ON IT.
