This company is a scam. A high pressure sales person called myself and a colleague recently trying to get us to sign up to the "Who's Who Among Business Professionals". Seeing as I always like to network I let him continue to tell me about the benefits of the service. Then I told him I had to get back to him and I was going to see if I could get my company to pay for this membership. He didn't like that idea and wanted me personal credit card.

We went back and forth and he kept going down on the membership fees to try and get me to join, but after still not accepting the fact that I wanted to check out his website and get my company to pay for it he passed me thru an automated voicemail that told me how I could sign up for free and not get all the bells and whistles but still have my name submitted. The machine gave me this website http://www.americasregistry.com/basic/. The Basic is supposed to be free, however, try to type in your information and click submit.... "Page Not found" error comes on your screen. There's no email contact information just a phone number with and extension!?

I checked out the website and I don't see how they are getting 30,000 members. Many of their links on their website don't work. Every person listed on the Hall of Fame is an old person. They should all be branded as "I have just been scammed" that is if they are even real people. The "Professionals of the Year" are a very small list and repeated year after year. That probably happens when there's only ONE person registered in the whole industry.

The top ten consists of 1 person. Try adding up every name that you can find on their website. They are no where near 30,000. Thanks to Google you can also check out their office location: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=32%20Bond%20Street%2C%20Westbury%2C%20NY%2011590&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl. Or just type in their address 32 Bond Street, Westbury, NY 11590 into Google maps. You'll get a street view. What a coincidence that their name isn't even listed under yellow pages as a business that is in that building.

And in case you are wondering how much they charge for their "membership" to the old person I've been scammed again club- Almost $1,000 for a "life time membership" which I'm sure they still get money from you every year with the latest book.

Bottom line- this is a scam!

Dave

P.S. I am commenting on this without any "feelings" like the owners previous rebuttal. This scam is just an obvious!
