Americredit can be scary, if you don't make payments

I was a victim of identity theft from 1990 (When I was 8 years old) up to around 2000 (when I turned 18). As a result, my credit was pretty shot for awhile (it is much improved now due to my sending proof af age, etc, but still has not recovered from this) and most places would not even think about financing me, even with good credit history on my credit cards. When it came time to buy a new(er) car after college, Americredit and a loan with 18% interest was my only feasible option. Since no one in my family was able to co-sign, I was on my own. My dealership got me financed through americredit, and though we all knew the interest was astronomical, I took the loan anyway, as my old car was a junker needing 1200 worth of worth just to PASS INSPECTION.
In the year and a half that I have been with americredit, I have not once had a problem. I make my payments early (even borrowing money from my family or my boyfriend if need be)and have never not had a payment posted--they even sent me the title as I am a New York State resident.
Americredit seems to be pretty flexible, so long as you make your payments. The bottom line is as long as you attmpt to pay, you will never have a problem with them. It is true that the interest is high, but they financed you when others would not.

worthless company that calls itself AMERICREDIT
AUTHOR: Greg - (U.S.A.)

I had bad credit and used Americredit to finance my truck, which was paid off as according to our contract and on time.
These idiots never sent me a title or even a letter saying account was paid in full.
This came to my attention when I tried to resell my truck recently and realized that the white copy of title given to me was not transferrable.
The Ohio title bureau told me that Americredit still held a lien on my vehicle although it has been paid off for over 4 YEARS NOW!
Of coarse when I called for help or find out what had happened I was told the loan was paid off and title was sent.THAT NEVER HAPPENED.
So I basically had to plead with the idiot that took my call to send a letter stating that AMERICREDIT was paid in full so I can hopefully get a title in my name.
This company not only preys on the less fortunate it treats them like s**t whether or not you make good on your loan.
KISS MY A** AMERICREDIT.
