I wish I could say something good about Amerigas, but I find their business practices questionable and unfair to say the least. They over charge on Propane with regards to other Companies, with added haz-mat fees and fuel recovery fees.Fees that they shouldn't charge because consumers don't need pay for their training and cleanups in fees every time you're filled up.After about 3 years I found out about this rip off and checked around to find that I could get Propane much cheaper, with no fees,no charge to install or switch out tanks from Amerigas. Then the Woman at the Springield WV office said they'd probably charge me a $100 tank p/u fee but she would wavy that fee--wrong about a week later i received the final statement showing a $100tank feeplus $6 tax--$106 total,I had 43.4 gal propane in tank of which i should have been refunded 43.4 x $4.279 per gal=$191.31,then they took $106 leaving me a balance of only $85.31 of which i still haven't received some 3 weeks later. I've tried getting Phone number of their Corporate Headquarters to no avail, yet Springfield says Headquarters is who i need talk to.It would seem that when they find they aren't going to be able to service you again, they try their darness to attach every fee and charge possible to get all they can.Maybe this isn't a big problem to many, but we happen to be re-tired and every dime matters.I hope this matter gets resolved before I'm forced to turn it over to the Authorities.
