After researching Ameriplan Health Benefits program, I decided to become a Broker to sell the plan. The "sponser" I contacted was Janie Jones, Lakeway, TX (outside of Austin).

Ms. Jones "interviewed" me by phone. I could tell she was using a script but that was okay. When she finished, I started asking her questions. She answered them but, as I found out later, she had not been truthful. In fact, she had been quite deceptive.

There are no dentist providers within 30 to 60 miles of my area. Ms. Jones told me there were "lots". Except for 2 chiropractors and one WalMart vision center, the monthly membership fee is not worth the trouble. For all practical purposes, there is no savings with this plan.

Ms. Jones was no help to me. She was supposed to "train and support" me. She did neither. Her favorite suggestion was to call "Support" in Plano (Dallas) or California. They were no help either.

Ms. Jones told me I would have 3 months to decide if this was for me and I could be a success. As it turned out, I only had 24 hours to make up my mind! All she ever wanted was her commission for enrolling me.

The company is now stalling about getting my enrollment fee back to me. I am told 5-7 days, 7-10 days or "maybe" 30 days.

This has been a major rip-off. The company may be good but I know of one "National Vice President" who will lie to get your money. Take heed.

To Many Take The Low Road

I'm new with AmeriPlan, and I plan on giving it no less than 2 years to build. NO one ever said it was an "overnight get RICH" plan.
This is a plan in which we can help others who have NO insurance (like myself) or are under insured.
I work at home as an Independent Contractor and know that over time this business will replace that income plus!
It takes time, commitment and perserverance!!!
Was told up front that the monthly fee is $50 for the web sites, memebership in the plan etc.
The upline is great, always there to answer questions and be of help.
There are MANY places on the web where you can advertise for FREE and that's what I'm doing. Have had several hits on my sites using them, and so far 1 Memeber for FREE Rx, so I'm excited, that is a start!

As other have said, it is so easy to BLAME others for our lazyness and unwillingness to follow the RIGHT way to build a business and if you go into debt, there is NO one to blame but yourself. I've found that this is a very Christian based company, and many whom I've seen who have made RSD thank God before they thank anyone else, and I Thank the Lord for leading me to AmeriPlan for what in time will be a solid business for me to retire on.

Please learn to take responsibilty for your OWN ACTIONS. DON'T BLAME OTHERS.

Hello,
I normally do not respond to these reports but I must say the truth.

It really saddens me when people get on this site and blame the company, their upline and EVERYONE why they are not succeeding when all they have to do is look in the mirror and blame the person that is looking back at them.

I have to say the truth about the accusation about Ms. Jones.

I am in her 3rd level and she absolutely trains everyone. She has a genuine heart and will talk to anyone in her organization. If you would of only jumped on her training calls, you would of heard hear heart and you would of loved and admired herjust like we all do.

She is the most caring and honest person that I have ever known. Why do you think she has the fastest growing team in Ameriplan. Numbers do NOT lie.

Don't take my word for it. Read hundreds of testimonials (see link below) of people she has helped succeed. All those people can't be wrong! (call that a clue) (((ROR REDACTED LINK FOR SECURITY PURPOSES)))

You also said that Janie uses a script.
I know for a fact that Janie does NOT use a script. She has enrolled hundreds and hundreds of brokers and don't you think she already memorized her presentation after 3 years? Don't you think an NVP already knows the entire presentation?

You also mentioned that she said that you had providers in your area. Now, if you live in Tx, and if you would of asked me if there are providers in your area, I would of said YES as well. It would be very hard NOT to find providers (especially in Texas). By the way, you could refer more providers to Ameriplan and build providers in your area and you would of had very little competition. But I guess you didn't stick around to find out that you really had a golden opportunity in your area.

You stated that Ms. Jones didn't train and support you. I ALSO find that VERY hard to believe. Her training site has training calls just about every single day! After the calls they open up the call for Q & A. Did you go to the call?

I KNOW Ms. Jones runs several of those calls. Even if you couldn't attend the training calls, they have RECORDED training calls. You had the best trainer and training available to you. All you had to do is get plugged in and STOP whining.

You also said that Ms. Jones referred you to Ameriplan or California for support? Anyone that works for Ameriplan knows that there is NOT a brokers support phone number in California. Now, we do have regional offices in California but we do NOT have a broker support phone number in CALIFORNIA.

Now, Ameriplan does have a brokers support number in Dallas, TX that all brokers have access to. Sounds like you get easily confused.


You also stated that Ms. Jones told you that you had 3 months to decide if this was for you and that you could be a success.

Well, first of all, as soon as we enroll as a broker, we immediately receive a confirmation from Ameriplan stating that we can cancel in 24 hours. We know that she is a top recruiter and that she has personally enrolled hundreds of people into the business, SHE KNOWS ABOUT THE CONFIRMATION that is sent by the company don't you think if she was LIEING and being deceitful, there would be HUNDREDS of complaints about her AND don't you think they would of terminated her when she started her business?

If you are on her calls, you will hear her say that this is a 2 to 4 year commitment and not a 24 hour commitment .

You said that all Ms. Jones was wanting your commission? Let me explain it to you. We DO not spend time advertising, learning and interviewing prospects JUST FOR A COMMISSION CHECK. We do NOT have an interest on a small $15.00 check. We have a vested interest on our team members to succeed.

It sounds to me that you were determined from day 1 that you were not going to be happy..you were already thinking of quitting even before you started your training and blaming everything on someone else is the easiest thing to do.

So sad that you never really gave Ameriplan a shot. Look up Ms. Jones team in a few years, she will create millionaires. She will be a legend in Ameriplan and I will have the honor and privilege to say that I know and work her!

p.s. ANOTHER CLUE. If she was not honest, don't you think she would NOT been featured in work at home magazines? (call that ANOTHER CLUE)

About Providers

Hi Carolyn,

Did you know that you can refer a Dentist to Ameriplan?

Ameriplan cannot solicite a provider without a referral from a patient.

In your broker kit you should have received some referral cards.

You can also refer a Dentist over the internet through your IBO support. You need the patients name, address, telephone number, name of the Dentist, their name, address and telephone number.

In enrolling members in an area that has very few if any dentist, I have offered and gotten permission to refer their dentist to Ameriplan. And in the mean time, the member was happy to enjoy the Vision, Chiropractic and Rx benenfits and (at times) willing to use another dentist.

It usually takes about 6 weeks for a dentist to sign up as a provider in the way I described.

Then...there is number that the potential provider can call located in your IBO Support.

I hope that you hang in there and try again.....

I am an Independent Business Owner with Ameriplan and have been for a year now. I have not regretted it ever.

I researched Ameriplan before signing as a broker and looked it up on the Rip of Report a year ago. The reason I signed on even after seeing it in the Rip Off Report, it that there was more good about Ameriplan then bad.

I am sorry that there have been bad experiences. I could have quit this business at the beginning as I had support from my upline but they were new also and really could not help me marketing over the internet as they worked warm market. I could not work warm market....I can't get out much.

However, I saw and still see what it is and where it is going and have refused to give up on it and it is paying off. It is Consumer Driven Health Care. And if you listen to the news at all, this is where the country is headed.

Ameriplan is the founder of the health benefits industry. If you will notice ... no other health benefits can give the big discounts that we do, because the Bloom brothers have set the precident. One sits as the Chairman of the Board of the Consumer Health Alliance.

We are now in 48 states with the Medical Program(which happened December of 2005)and now have over 500,000 providers across the nation.

We are accepted by Walmart, JC Penny's, Sears, Len's Crafters and many others. Does this sound like "Micky Mouse" Company?

Just because there are no providers in a brokers certain area (out of market)does not mean you cannot build a business. We have 48 states to work and an extensive provider search designed to help us out. We have all the tools needed.

I wasn't trained right and it took me a while to get to where I am today. I did not give up. I attend another teams calls and have access to NSD's that are not my direct upline. They make no money off of helping me or my team, but they are always there for what ever it is that I need or my downline needs. My sponsor is a better sponsor now and so am I. We have worked as a team and it has benefited us all.

This is a business and not a job. It takes time to build with persistant and consistant effort.

You cannot own a business and not work it.
Ameriplan does not promise to make you rich over night. 2 to 4 years part time to build a residual of 6 figures. But, You have to work it.

I had to learn much of it on my own, make a lot of mistakes. And now I can help my downline because of it. We are one of the teams that are growing quite fast in the company.

To Joseph: do not be afraid. You have the tools, hopefully you have a great sponsor that if they don't know something they will help you find it out.

Be prepared to work your business. There is a network of people to draw from and you can reach out to other teams and they will help you regardless of whether they make money from you or not. I know this as a fact.

It's not easy. It's not get rich quick. There are highs and lows as there are in any business.
Don't think that you cannot get the support you need, you can. Follow the system, do what is suggested and give it consistent effort and you will be rewarded.

It does not need to cost a lot of money. There are free leads to get you started if you are going to work from home. Warm Market cost nothing. As in any business, you need to re-invest back into it. Set a budget..put a portion of your residual back into your business ( you would have to do this with any business )keep a possitive outlook and have fun with your business. You will meet a lot of great people.

Don't give up on it. Find the support you need...it is there.

I'm an IBO for this company and I can get you some helpfull information.

You mentioned that Ms. Jones did not train you right. I want to appoligize as an IBO she is supposed to guide you to be successful.

What you can do is request to talk to your upline. {that person is Higher than Ms. Jones}

Your upline will help you, just let them know your situation.

I did some research about your town. Paige, Texas is 44 miles east of Austin, Texas in the NorthEast Bastrop County. Within the 30 to 60 miles you claim that no providers are listed.

Austin Texas has many, many, MANY providers, including Primary Care Physicians, Dentists, specialists etc.

YES AS YOU mentioned Walmart, and many other nation wide retail stores take the plans. Including many nation wide Pharmacies, and Nation wide vision centers as well.

The problem for you is that your town is a very small town. In the year 1886 your TOWNS population was at it's peak at 500 people. AS OF 1990 Population for PAIGE, TEXAS went down to ONLY 275 people.

My point is: chances are your small town does not have {if any} major nation wide companies near you.

The good news is Ameriplan USA is expanding and will eventually be in every small town. AND NOT JUST IN THE BIGGER TOWNS AND BIG CITIES.

But you do have other towns close by that do take the plans and/or have providers for them.

This is a Nation Wide Company and it is expanding quickly. I'm sorry there is not much providers in your small town, but please give it some time there will be more.

In the mean time, 44 miles West of your town is Austin. It has many providers and many Nation Wide companies that take the plans as well.

I just joined Ameriplan as a broker. I'm recently disabled at the age of 36. I'm hopeful that it works out. I paid for it on my gold card. So if they don't hold up their end. I dispute the charge.

Firstly, I am not yet with Ameriplan USA. I have been researching them though to see if I am going to join them. I have fallen before for different ripoffs and I'll tell you this. Each complaint a company like you're describing seems to get does not get replies to. Why, well they must be legitimate complaints.

However, with Ameriplan every complaint gets responses back defending how great Ameriplan USA is, which tells me, hey, people ARE MAKING MONEY. You said that noone would help you but you only gave it 24 hours. I think you've just convinced yourself either you can't do it and/or it's not a good product.

I know this, just from what I've seen so far, this is a great product for the many unemployed and disabled people who don't have health insurance (I know this isn't insurance) or dental because they can't afford to buy it without the benefits that full time employees get. Hey, I don't know what's up with your refund, but if it's going to take time to clear your refund why don't you take a look at whatever info they have provided you and think of what you CAN do with thIS and see if it can work for you. 24 hours couldn't have done that!
