I was contacted by Ameritrust, funny that their name has trust in it. They said i was approved for a credit card with their financial institution since i was declined for a previous card, and with their card my credit will be improved in three months with them instead of six months with other card companies. My limit is $3500, and i just need to allow a debit from my US checking account to secure the funding. I asked what type of credit card this was, the man said it was a regular credit card, just like other mastercard and visa. My confirmation number was provided, and i secured it. I also kept the copy of the debit to my checking account. I realized that i hadn't gotten the card yet, so i grew concern. I got on the web, and was at ease at first, but realized, i mistook them for American Financial. I have already contacted my credit attorney law firm, and I am an employee of the Department of Justice, so the government including Consumer Affairs division will be hot on their tail. Their number is always busy. I am also notifying the bank of their fraudulent debit, so they can also work on the refund. This company, and individuals behind this scam, will be brought to justice, very soon, i promise!!!!!!

I never got a card less than 10 day's. I say about 3 to 4 weeks is more like it. Law firm's, plenty out there to help your credit, however the consumer/consumers will still have something to say.

Well, "employee of the DOJ" is not necessarily a glorification. The guy who mops the floors in the FBI building is as much an employee of the DOJ as is the Attorney General.
The DOJ does have a consumer affairs division, kind of. I don't belive that there is an agency or division specifically referred to as such, but there are attorneys in the AG's office who are referred to as "Consumer Affairs Specialists." I think they are in the "Dispute Resolution" division.
Sounds to me like the reporter was signing up for a secured credit card, which is basically the equivalent of a Visa "check card," except you have to pay annual fees and interest for the privelege of using your own money.
Most reputable credit card companies will deliver your card within 7-10 business days of approval. I wouldn't sign on with a company that is taking $3500 of my own money right away and waiting 6-8 weeks to deliver a card.
Also, I don't think I've ever heard of a "credit attorney."

Just awesome!!! Was it a prepaid? Secure funding? I mean you have a law firm, and didn't consult with them? They know it take's at least 2 years to get good credit if you have none to begin with. So what's the real deal here?
