This company was hired for me by Nationwide/World Movers back in February of 2008. I paid 700.00 up front with a ballance of 980.04 due on delivery. Needless to say, my children and I still do not have our household goods and they increased the ballance to almost 4000.00. This amount is not on my contract or my receipt. I have had the State Motor Commissioner contact them several times on my behalf, so has the Federal Investigator and the company and their so called lawyer has failed to contact either of us back.

On September 11, 2008 I recieved a phone call that if payment was not made by THREE diffrent dates all of our personal and only possessions were going to be auctioned off and there was nothing anyone can do about it. I have made several attempts to contact both companies with no success and then I get this call out of the blue seven months later. I have filed complaints with the BBB and the Federal Motor Carriers Commission and the only one that has contacted me back is the BBB. This needs to be stopped and dealt with IMMEDIATELY. This company and it's affiliates needs to be shut down for good!

My children miss their things and they ask for their things on a daily basis, all our family memorabilia is there as well as all our personal things and it kills me a little more inside everyday and night to wipe my children's faces free of tears because they don't have their beds or toys or pictures of family and friends in Iraq and Afghanistan and those lost to Katrina and the war. Everything we have came from them and other members of our family who are overseas or gone off to better places not here on Earth. We just want our possessions back, and my babies want their things back so desperatley. Enough is enough.

You Need to Pay What Is Owed

AUTHOR: Jim - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 23, 2008

I'm sorry you're going through this, but this is a classic moving scam done to you not simply by the mover, but by the broker as well. See, the cost of moving from one place to another is NOT inexpensive - but the broker sure made it out to be, didn't they? Unfortunately, by looking for a mover on the internet, you have been put into this situation. The only way you're going to getyour stuff back is to pay the outstanding bill. BTW - the BBB won't do anything - neither will the FMCSA. What you can do is call the people at www dot moverescue dot com and see what they suggest - they can definitely help you.

When you file complaints, also file them for the broker (Nationwide) as well. There is no need to use a moving broker for ANYTHING. They simply took your money and set you up with a criminal. The biggest lesson learned is to find a reputable mover - through your phone book - and then research them on the internet. What I would fear at this point is that your items are (1) damaged, and/or (2) lost. Most people think the price rise is the beginning of the nightmare....the nightmare continues when the goods are finally delivered.

Also, unless they notify you in writing, they cannot sell your items - talk to your lawyer about this. Don't fall for their threats. It's almost too bad there are so many priceless items in their possession - I'd tel them to sell it because they'd never collect anything close to the outstanding bill if they sell your stuff.
