There are things a site can do to make it clear (or unclear) that they are going to charge you. I have never and would never consent to recurring charges, just dont like em! This site makes it very unclear that they are going to charge you money, and judging from my calls to them I would assume that they have been through this quite a bit.
Yes, I probably should have read their 20 page terms and conditions befor I ticted it, and no, I should not given my card number without expecting to be charged. But thats what scams are all about, taking money from trusting, unsuspecting, unknowing people.
In the end I paid $154.80 for two maybe three visits to a Ancestery.com back in July 2012
Lesson learned!

There is a block on the free trial order page that says; "I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of Ancestry.com.
The above is a paragraph of those terms. It's included in a two page detailling of the terms YOU said YOU read before signing up. It's just about 18 pages short of the 20 pages YOU alleged.
Either you don't read/comprehend or are a real drama queen.
I have used Ancestry.com with no problems off an on for about two years. They always lived up to the terms of their agreement. It appears you aren't willing to do the same.
BTW, it makes no difference how MANY times you accessed the information, YOU did agree to the terms when YOU signed up...get a life...liar.
