I paid angie's list to find a contractor, they found a contractor, i used him to fix a basement leak which he did. then another leak came up in other end of basement, angies list was supposed to pay to have this type of work done since i paid my dues but they refused to do so,what a crock. what makes matters worse angie's list has contractors that pay to be listed.do not use angie's list, they get rich off of lies

In case anyone has nothing better to do than look at this report and try to figure out what's going on, note how comment 6 from "ronnie" displays a strikingly similar writing style (misspellings, lack of capitalization) to the original post. "ronnie" is actually David Gibson, the contractor who posted this report fraudulently under my name and email. Now that I reclaimed my account by resetting my password, David Gibson can't post as me so he's posting comments as "ronnie." I will hand it to the guy, he's a liar but he's tireless...

seems like you change your story like you change your underwear! I am angie's list member and i can tell you that they do not pay contractors to do work! I have talkd to several contractors that is on angies list and they have run into people like you trying to pull stuff like this! You talk about this contractor commiting fraud by using your email! i doubt that! you come on this forum to complain about angies list,then balst a contractor after he fixed your problem. then i say what happned was that angies list found this and told you to stop it before the remove your membership!

This is a little confusing, but:
This report was fraudulently filed under my email address by a contractor (Gibson Grading) I am in a dispute with on Angie's List (i.e., Angie's List is the arbitrator). To try to get Angie's List to dismiss my complaint against the contractor, the contractor faked this Ripoff Report pretending it was from me and that I was angry at Angie's List.
Does Ripoff Report not require email verification before posting a report? My contractor was able to enter my email address and post a report using it. That resulted in me getting an email, which led to me piecing together what happened. I have reset my password and now have access to the account, but I don't see any options to delete the report. Is there some way to do that?
To summarize: I have no grievance against Angie's List; this report is fraudulent. The Ripoff Report should be against David Gibson of Gibson Grading, for filing this report under my email.

Angie's List is just that, a list. The subscription just allows you to access the list. They do not pay any contractors to do any work. Where did you get that idea? Can you show where on their web site it alludes to anything like that?

David Of Gibson Grading And Construction did fix my leak and the problems we had outside, when i joined angies list i pay a memberships dues to find contractors for work i needed to be done!he came out and i paid him 2000.00 to fix my basement issue. He fixed the issue but when a new issue arised on other end of basement, i contacted him to fix the new problem. He said he would give me a 25% discount, which i told him that angies list would pay to have my work done because i paid the dues David
said he does not work for angies list, which i see that he is a liar, because he a angies list contractor and angies list pays contractors to do work for their paying members, the first job you pay but after that angies list picks up the tab. but come to find out angies list lied to me as well, they wll not pay him to fix my other leak, so angies list is a liar as well.Angies list makes millions off of people but do nothing in return

Was he obligated by warranty to fix any other leaks that later appeared? What makes you think he should?
