I have been patiently waiting for the "new and improved" Ann Taylor as was promised...but sadly, their clothing and merchandise quality continues to decline, yet the prices have increased (most likely due to the unending paid celebrity endorsements and increased advertising). The majority of clothing is made of the cheapest synthetic fabrics and are poorly made with stitching issues, buttons falling off, patterns that don't line up with the seams, and colors that bleed on other items of your clothing, bags or even furniture. Sizing has not been consistent, so it's difficult to shop online. My entire family and many friends used to be Ann Taylor enthusiasts, and I am the last person I know holding on to this brand. Well, this waiting for a miracle return of the classic and well-made Ann Taylor has ended today. Very sad to leave, but looking forward to better quality merchandise through my other fav retailers like White House Black Market and Talbots. Also, looking forward to all of my time that will be saved by NOT shopping at Ann Taylor stores or online ever again - no more purchasing two to three of the same thing, just so I can find one that fits correctly and not defective, no more exchanging and returning nearly all of my orders due to unmet expectations and size issues, no more Ann Taylor! What a relief!!
