APX or APEX alarm doesn't even care about doing business ethically or professionally.
THEY HAVE NO HUMAN COMPASSION OR ETHICAL WILL.
A slick salesperson convinced my wife to let him explain how amazing their services are. We bought it--our first mistake.
They installed their "free" alarm system and we signed our lives away on their voluminous and incredibly litigious contract.
Then, they drilled some holes in our wall, put in some hardware and left. The installer even mentioned that he "wasn't sure it was completely working" because we have VOIP phone service at home.
They came back and installed a CELLULAR service station, and then CHARGED us for it, something that never came up in the contract negotiations.
Fine. We still thought the service would work.
SEVERAL MONTHS LATER, when we became suspicious about the service even working (because our children set off the alarm on accident and we never received a call from the monitoring service) we placed calls to APEX to get it resolved, but we didn't remember our magic security password... so they didn't do anything for us.
We also stopped paying the bill (duh--I'm not going to let you take money for something you didn't do) and we finally got a call back from APEX (amazing!).
No less than twice, we were told they "understood" there was a problem, and they would fix it, if we paid for the past-due balance... which we did. And nobody ever came to fix our system.
Now, several months later, I refuse to pay the past-due balance (which they still claim must be paid before they can do any work... as a matter of "policy") and they have sent me to their collections bulldogs at Anderson Crenshaw And Associates (which the Internet reveals is very good at hounding people for money--potentially illegally)
The three things that burn me most about this:
- I have tried repeatedly to contact APX. Their associates have either flatly refused to help, or promised to help and "check on" my service, with no actual action after that.
- I have NOT asked for a full-refund, which I feel I deserve. I just want the past-due amount taken off my account, my service FIXED, and I can resume using my security system.
- After all this, they have gone BEHIND MY BACK and sent my claim to collections.
This company doesn't care, doesn't want to care, and teaches their employees how not to care.
It's all a lie. I have no idea how a SECURITY company (which sells peace of mind) can behave and act like this.
