Apple Financial Inc Award Claim Notification Sarnia, Ontario

Received a letter from Apple Financial today. The letter was addressed to my deceased mother-in-law, and even had a phone number to call a Sam Edward, who was listed as a claim agent. The letter said that the enclosed check for $4,500.00 was deducted from the total winnings of $45,000.00. The letter also claims to be a FINAL NOTICE. Since this letter claims to be a final notice, they said that contact must be made no later than January 20, 2013. There are several spelling, grammatical, and punctuation errors in the letter, and the letter is on simple white paper, rather than any official letterhead. The signature on the letter is for Jack Gabriell (Promotions Manager), which is another red flag, since legitimate folks list their business titles on a second line below their names, and do not put those titles in parentheses.
