DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM!!!

I worked for AppleOne for about six months in one of their West coast offices. I ended up quitting because I felt extremely uncomfortable and wrong working for such an unethical company. What they do is put up a fake job posting for people to apply for. If you are fortunate enough to get an interview it is likely for a fake position and the person interviewing you wants to "flip your references" because their ultimate goal is to get good contact information for a decision maker in one of your former workplaces so they can place someone else. Sometimes as a result of this they get real jobs and there are some real postings but considering how expensive their billing is compared to other agencies it is not very often they get contracts with anyone or atleast that was the case in my region;I can't speak for all of them. I'd say only about 10-15% of the people interviewed got placed. Also they totally cater to the clients...I saw so many cases where a person's resume was really good but the pretty girl or the young guy got the job despite being underqualified...very shady!!!

One of the reps asked me one time to look through various peoples date of birth on the i-9 forms we kept on file to see if they were a "good fit " for the client (age discrimination) but I declined and it caused tension in the office. If you are staff employee and don't go along with their illegal activities they will either dig up a reason to fire you, release you because you are "at-will" or make you want to quit. What their company policy states and what they do are totally different! I even heard a VP who flew in one day ask one of the reps "is it anything I want to hear" when the rep said no she said "ok"...it was in regards to the age range a client wanted his workers to be. The Regional Manager and VP both operated on a "I don't want to HEAR about the illegal stuff going on althogh I know there is illegal stuff going on" basis. There were MANY times when people called to check the status of their interview and the rep would tell them that they are still looking even though they weren't and the position they interviewed for never existed. One time when they hired a new guy, his first job was to put up five fake job postings to build his contacts/network...DISGUSTING!!!

Since when is it proper to end a sentence with ... ? Not only that, you began a new sentence with a lower cap, and it is a fragemented sentence to boot! LOL.

You admit you worked for only 2 weeks for this company before leaving. FYI:  Employers like job-hoppers about as much as they like applicants with poor grammar.

Back to the company in question: I have never been employed with or through them, however; I have talked with people who have.  I cannot recall anything positive being mentioned in our discussions.

I worked for AppleOne for a grand total of 2 weeks before finding a better position elsewhere. I know this maybe hard for you to swallow, but no matter how fraudulent this company is (if that is the case,) just based on your rebuttal I wouldn't hire you either.  AppleOne is a placement company for mostly office positions.  Most companies do not want individuals whom have trouble with spelling and grammar. Not only does it make you look ignorant, but it reflects negatively on the company you work for as well.  With the tools we are afforded today, there is little to no excuse, aside from pure laziness, to have frequent misspellings and grammar mistakes.  I would suggest that when you decide to communicate with companies whom you would like to be taken seriously by, that you read it through for any mistakes or at the very least, click that little icon at the top of most communication forms with ABC and the little blue check mark... that would be your spell checker and keeps you from looking uneducated.  You will probably be angry at what I have just said. I'm sure you will reply with a seething "You must be paid by them!!!!" rebuttal, which I will never see.  I'll bet if you heed my advice you will get a better job, quicker and you wont need a Temp company
to get it.

For your Reference:
"or" not "are"
"company" not "companie"
"there" not "their"
"experience" not "experiance"
"agencies" not "agencys"

When you apply for positions you aren't qualified for you need to hide that stupidity my friend... bury it deep... don't let anyone know it's there. Well... I'm gonna go ahead and click on that icon on the top of my screen... it's going to make sure that I don't look like the pot calling the kettle black... by the way, the spell checker wont help you with "there," "they're," "their;" "your," "you're;" "than" and "then;" you will have to figure those out with a good old Websters Dictionary,
available freely online.

#3 UPDATE Employee

AppleOne/Act 1 a Fraud

AUTHOR: Paul Henerson - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 21, 2012
I have only received two are three jobs with either company. In the past they were great agencys, but for the past few years they have been horrible. Today, I called one Staffing Manager M. Hepner regarding a Customer Service postion that was posted which was a VERY easy position. The first thing she said was that their was no positions available and then I mentioned (Howroyd Group Companie). She could not explain the position are why she lied. She said I didn't have the skills are experiance for the position,  mind you my resume has alot of experience. I went on line to file a complaint and saw this posting. It has been very helpful.

I have had the same experiance with Sophia W. saying they have positions available but when you call them on it they lie. I would never use these agencys. Very bad work ethics and should be reprimanded. I don't understand why action has not been taken. There are very good people that are looking for work, and need reliable leads.
