Appliance Smart Extended warranty ripoff Maplewood, Minnesota

I purchased a dishwasher from appliance smart with an extended warranty of 129.95 for 5 years. I thought I will have a piece of mind for 5 years, but no.

18 months later, the dishwasher started leaking. I called the warranty company, but they couldn't find my contract in their system. They asked me to send a copy of the invoice which I did, but I didn't hear back from them. I called Appliance Smart, and they sent a technician to fix the dishwasher. The technician told me that the motor was leaking and it will take 4 days to order a part.

2 days later, the warranty company called me and said that they have to replace the dishwasher, but since Appliance Smart don't have a dishwasher for the same price I bought mine, they will give me my money back (not the warranty money). I went to Appliance Smart and found 3 dishwasher in the same price range of mine. I explained my case to the salesperson, he said that he has to talk to his manager and get back to me.

A week later, I received a check in the mail, a refund for my dishwasher and not a single dime of the $129.95 (a 5 years warranty). This is a mere ripoff, and their appliances are not made to last. I will never ever buy from them.
