What a rip off company. When I found out the fees that were being charged. Which by the way I never saw until a month after the card was issued. They sent it to me after the charges were accessed to my account. They told me they didnt know why it took so long to get to me. Because they send it seperately from the new card to make sure every card holder reads it.

Yea right the post date on my notice of fees was exactly 32 days after they issued the card. But, they swear not so. Even After I proved that to the co. Sent copies of envelopes and faxed the same. They said I was wrong. OK YEA/ Well I closed the account over a year ago now and the balance just keeps growing. I was just charged for the annual fee.

ANNUAL FEE FOR What? When I called and Asked. They informed me even though the account was closed Because I have a balance All fees will still be charged.OK This has to be illegal in some way. But, I was Told by some rude hard to understand female from some where is Asia She says. Tuff thats the Policy of Applied. You pay or we will make multiple reports to All Credit reporting co/ WOW Like that will matter at this point. They have made 7 reports of late payments already.

I have Filed Dispute with all Credit reporting systems but, I keep getting that they are verfied correct. But, I have never missed or been Late. How can that be
Well Applied Lies each time/ So I added a remark to each Report.

I will not make another payment Until they Remove all Charges including Interest for cash withdraws which is for the Overlimit and late Fees. I never Had cash Advances But, am told that is was the interest on cash Advances is. OK again this cant be legal. HELP STOP THIS COMPANY.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

The disclaimer is not on your application

AUTHOR: Nikki - (U.S.A.)

When you get the application in the mail, the disclaimer is not on the application. It is included in the envelope on a small piece of paper and the charges are hidden within the body. It looks like a bunch of junk wording (like privacy act, etc) and many people just throw it away and keep the application.

I really understand how you feel about not wanting to pay it. In the past, I have done the same thing (stood up for my rights), but I have been paying BIG TIME for those choices. I wish I would have just kept my temper at bay and paid for some things years ago. We really have no rights anymore, even when we are right. Then when we stand up to them (creditors) for the principle of the matter, they make us pay even more (i.e. credit reporting, collections, charging fees on top of fees, judgments, garnishments, etc.). They have a lot of options that we cannot fight without much hard work.

You just have to decide how much your credit score is worth. When you refuse to pay things (whether you are right or not), you just add another 7 years to clear up your credit report.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

If you have a balance, the account is not closed

AUTHOR: Nikki - (U.S.A.)

You said you closed the account over 1 year ago, but if you had a balance, they will not close your account. Do not think your account is closed because you asked them to close it.

Did you make the payments every month ontime and they still reported you as late? If you have the proof of the payments you can ask that they, in good faith, change them to ontime payments. However, they will probably only do this for you if you are really nice about it.

Since you have been arguing over trivial matters (like when you got the schedule of fees), they might not do it. FYI, they always send the fee they will charge, hidden in the terms and conditions sent to you with your application. You just have to read them (I didn't read them the first time, either).

I think the fees to activate the card are somewhere around $150. They will not waive those for you no matter how nice, or demanding you are. You should probably pay it off before it goes into collections, as well as the yearly fees.

If you have a balance, there is nothing you can do about those yearly fees either. Say your initial limit is $200. If you ignore them and do not pay, that balance will be over $2000 in about 8 years because of the fees they attach. They will hound you forever.

We can no longer stand up for our rights and refuse to pay anything anymore because they don't care. They will blemish your credit report over and over. You will also get collection calls over and over. If you can, try to pay it off, then close the card before it goes into collections. You will be happier in the long run. This advice is from experience.
