I couldn't help but write something tonight. I'm shocked, deeply saddened, and at a loss of what our next step is. I'm sure much more will be divulged as the days go by. Right now, we recieved news today that it is inevitable "there's is a chance???) that we will lose our home to foreclosure. For about 6 months of directly and indirectly,faxing and phoning, supplying personal information, bank statements and up-front costs for the supposed negotiations with our lender are "BOGUS". The hope and prayers that Apply 2 Save would follow through with their committment to do everything and anything so save our home of 16 years. They bragged about the 96% percent success rate. Based on WHAT? I'm in tears, my partner had to just get out of the house,all they said from the very beginning was be patient, don't worry, It's going to be a difficult but very workable situation.
Our lender is still Countrywide (Bailed Out,Kicking Ass and taking names later)or should I say no names, only if you have money. Needless to say, Countrywide and Apply to Save will be getting a unpleasant phone call tomorrow...no more Mr. Nice guy. Are these two companies in Kahoots with each other in some way or the other??? I'm very curious now. It would be great to know more but we just do not have the resources or funding to pursue this further. I now believe that they knew this from the very beginning. Screw them (us) fast and hard, take the money and run...what's the consumer really going to do. This company (Apply 2 Save) from the top down is so negligeable (Becky Phillips & Rebecca Brooks ?) and so many others should be ashamed of themselves. I very (extremely) rarely wish ill-will on anyone, I hope that one day, what goes around comes around. They even encouraged us to write false statements and provide fixed documents to help boost our chances to save our home. They insured us it was no big deal, that it's done all the time. Don't rock the boat and just play the game their way and it will be just fine. Well, is this an insight as to how we got in this dilemma (Failing Economy, Unemployment, Trust in Government, Bail-Outs) anyway. Lenders give loans to people they know can't afford them or lets just say fudge the numbers a bit to make you look good on paper.

I'm actually writing much more than I anticipated. For those out there that never thought you would be taken advantage or a ripped off, now more then ever please beware. Also by writing tonight I want to thank everyone else that has had the same frustrations and anger and has written in. It's actually a bit calming to know that we're not the only ones who gave their trust and prayers to Apply-to-Save. We may be losing our home but we have still have each other. For that I'm grateful. By reaching out tonight....I hope there is a class action or someone (please,no scams) out there that can help us during this tramatic time.
Right now we're sticking close to family and even closer to our true friends.
Oh, by the way, their final suggestion today, via voicemail ,was to possibly file for bankruptcy as a last ditch ever to save our home. The sell date which they said would be postponed (again) has not been discussed. So as far as our understanding it will be on the auction block at the Tacoma, WA - County City Building.
I'm exhausted and about to call it a night. Hang in there everyone and just take comfort that though difficult....ultimately we're in good hands.
