Apx Alarm false sales, poor servise, don't tell ya if phone lines are cut no one will show up Provo Utah

i am dealing with the bbb. all apx will deal with is giving me a cell unit & charge me $5.oo more a month! the sales people lied . they say cops will be here ,they never said no one would come if phone lines were cut!after i complained the one person said nothing is 100% safe even the cell units!this company is such a rip off! apx came threw our neighbor hood right after there was a bunch of houses broke into & cars stold in my area about 11 pm apx came knocking on my door making a bad sale!. a civil law suit needs to be started ! their contracts are different than the sales reps claim. the bbb charges a $75.00 fee to hear your arguement instead of going into court after a few months of back & forth between me & the company!

I have had nothing but good experiences with APX

I am not a former employee of APX nor do I have any connection to this company, other than the fact that I am a customer of APX. A satisfied and happy customer of APX.

I have been reading through the complaints for this company and would like to say that I do not understand all the discontent with this company. The whole point is..."You do not get ANYTHING in life for FREE"...

A house had been broken into on our street. One evening, my husband and I were enjoying our dinner when we had an APX sales rep knock at our door. At first, I was going to turn him away. However, after hearing that the connection and equipment were free, I decided to allow him to give us his sales spew.

I have a cellphone. I know that even though the company advertises a "FREE" cellphone with a new contract, they still expect you to pay monthly service charges. If you decide to opt out of the contract before it is up, you pay a charge for that. That charge is usually to cover the cost of the "free" cellphone that they gave you intially. If you do keep your contract for the time period of validation, then the cellphone was truely free. Same this with APX. For signing up in a new CONTRACT with the company, you get the installation and equipment for "FREE". Provided you stay with that contract for the specificed time period, you never pay for that installation or equipment. If cellphone companies can do it, why can't they.

By going with APX, we have saved over 2000 in connection,installation and equipment charges. 49.99 a month plus our 5.00 cell unit connection fee is well worth the security we are offered.

And yes, this company does monitor it's alarms. One morning, my husband couldn't get the alarm turned off. The company called promptly and asked for our security pass.

I have also heard many people say that they didn't know that the alarm was rendered useless if the phone lines were cut. To be frank, this only makes logical sense. If anything is running through the phone line, and the line is cut...of course nothing is going to work...That is why we opted for the cellphone connection. You can not cut through air...lol

I think my word of advice is...Sales men like to make money and feed their families...listen carefully to what they say...does it make sense? If not, then maybe think twice about obtaining their services. Do research on the company, read the contract BEFORE you sign it. Do a monthly budget to make sure you can afford all the service charges. Call your local police department and ask them if they have heard of this alarm company. Think before you sign and make sure this is something you really want in your home....

get this the bbb closed the account due to the bbb assuming that the case was" ASSUMED SATISFIED !" NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED . Wonder how many other people who has valid claims thru the bbb & has had theIR case assumed resolved ??? when apx fails to fix the problems! Kattcruzer .owatonna mn.
