Purchase a Hague water system from a local dealer, Environmental Water, for my new home in March/April 2006. The Hague water system was promoted as the "Cadillac" of water systems, purifying the water, but expensive, not the point. Anyway, since day 1, the system has not worked correctly. The dealer came back numerous times to attempt to resolve, 3 attempts alone just to put resolve the reverse osmosis sink water setup. In conclusion, still the Hague water system does not work reflecting brown and smelly water.

During all these attempts to resolve the newly installed Hague water system to work correctly, I was paying Aqua Finance, Inc. that funded the purchase from Environmental water. The question here is why pay for something, an expensive something that does not work, ever. So after numerous attempts to have Environmental water resolve the situation, they no longer respond to my requests, so I stop paying Aqua Finance.

No sooner do I stop paying Aqua Finance for a system that does not work, Environmental Water contacts me approximately 2 months after doing so and state I hear you have a problem with the Hague water system as per Aqua Finance, not per me which I notified them continuously. After not showing up for 2 appointments they confirmed, Environmental Water finally shows up with the owner this time and a kid as his assistant, who is being trained. They service the call within minutes and leave claiming the issue lies with the brand new water heater, but the issue is not just with the hot water where they are claiming the anode rod in the water heater is the cause.

I have a couple of plumbers come out for service calls confirming it is not the water heater, I have a couple of competitors of Environmental Water, including Culligan, which Aqua Finance deals with, all confirm there are water issues and the current Hague water system is not working to resolve as they tested the water before the water enters the water system and after.

Meanwhile, Environmental Water is now not responding after the last service call but instead send me a bill for the warranty service call they just performed, it was warranty work, no bill should be sent and I informed them of such after receipt of said bill with no response. Plus Environmental Water comes out and services my water system with salt without an order and authorization from me to do so and I informed them of such after receipt of said bill with no response.

Soon after all this, my Hague water system completely stops working, functionally, not just cleaning the water as described above. I called Environmental Water for warranty service of the circuit board that is now not responding, no response, as before. I call Hague to find out another company in my area that services the Hague water system. Hague informed me that Environmental Water is no longer an authorized dealer for Hague, their dealer license has been revoked, and to try Adviro Quality Water to perform my warranty service.

Adviro Quality Water immediately came out and serviced my Hague water system with replacing the circuit board that died. They contacted Hague to confirm this product is under warranty but found out Environmental Water has never even registered the water system with Hague. I had to supply documentation of the purchase in order for the part's cost to be reimbursed to Adviro Quality Water under warranty reimbursement, as so should the service call too. Nope, I received a bill from Adviro Quality Water claiming that since they did not install the water system, the service call is not covered under the warranty, which is should be, the system has like a 10 year warranty for such and it has barely been a year since installation, if that.

During all this, payment has stopped as mentioned above; I am not paying for something that does not work. Aqua Finance has continued to harass me for payment and I have stated and sent documentation to them saying the system does not work, as explained above, the installation dealer does not do warranty service on the system and with that, the dealer then becomes liable in full for the balance due as stated in Aqua Finance's contract.

Aqua Finance continued to harass for payment, disregarding the contract's terms, and eventually contacted a local attorney in my area to collect on the debt, which I replied immediately the debt is disputed as described above, plus Aqua Finance is reporting the debt incorrectly majority of times and to the bureaus at double the purchase price and the balance outstanding, reporting it at $10k+ where the original price was $5k. The attorney replies they have noted my dispute of collection of debt and will inform their client, Aqua Finance of such. BUT, still to this day, Aqua Finance is reporting this debt, currently 150 days past due, to the credit bureaus at the higher $10k at times but simply noting in past due which is hurting my credit. This is the only negative notation on my credit report.

Simple, I purchased something that was suppose to work, it hasn't, the dealer defaulted on servicing the water system and as per the contract, the dealer, Environmental Water, is now liable for the debt to be paid in full to Aqua Finance, not me. The credit reporting of debt on my credit bureau and harassment to me by Aqua Finance needs to stop, immediately. As a consumer, I would suggest no one perform business with Environmental Water and Aqua Finance, Inc. as they do not perform the service for which you paid or paying for.

an answer to your complaint

AUTHOR: Johnnie - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, July 11, 2010

From Johnnie, I am a Hague Quality Water dealer and there is no better system on the market. Even though there are complaints about Hague systems out there, try researching other company compliants too. However, with this complaint you did not mention if the installer was licensed by you state and if it was installed correctly. This Watermax system operates perfectley (at 70 psi)with a pressure regulator installed before the unit, if the water pressure is higher on the meter side. If the pressure was not tested.........you may have a problem there.

I always test every system after installation to make sure my installs are preforming to specs........did Environmental Water do this for you so you could see the test results or not?????????

If your source water is producing smelly water then you will be able to smell it on the cold and hot water side, if odors are only on the hot water side then there is a problem with in the hot water heater.........it only makes sense. Most municipalities do take thier water from surface sources, and depending on the area and the time of year, Geosmin can form in the water ( a digestive compound secreated from bacteria eating decaying algae) and its best removed with a reverse osmosis. The Water max system is not designed to remove this contaminant "If thats whats causing the oodor" however you do need to remove the magnesium anode rod in your hot water heater and replace it with an aluminum anode rod or a soft water rod anyways.

If your Watermax system got behind on cleaning it could cause odors also because of the multitude of trash it has collected. There is a proceedure I use to clean the watermax when this system has sat even for up to 4 years or longer and can be cleaning water again within the hour.........but I will not give out secrets to my success online however....... you may contact this entity company and maybe they can find a way to hook us up and I can walk you throught the whole proceedure.

As for Aqua Finance I'm also sure thier complaint is legal or they would not be able to file against you but I can help you get your system up and running for good

I am a victim too!!!!

AUTHOR: Jean B - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, December 04, 2009

A man came to my house last year in 08084 and told my wife and I about the rain soft system. After a long time he offered it to us for $5K. He also said we would get free laundry detergent, hand and body soap, shampoo/conditioner, and cleaning spray whenever we wanted. He also said the warranty covered every expense for the life of the system. We agreed on monthly payments of $140/month with a 10%. When the system came, the contract stated that the price was $7K!! With an interest of 18%. Any we would only get a small amount of soap once a year. And we had to pay $250/yr for maintenance! We paid on-time for 18 months paying off only $10/month on the principal! Then, with my home in foreclosure and going through a divorce which left me penniless, I received deportation papers informing me I was being sent back to Santa Domingo. I explained this to Aqua Finance. They said the only thing they can do is lower my payments from $140 to $110. It's funny how every company (even credit card companies) are working with their consumers except for Aqua. This is a problem for them because, in this economy, you will surely collapse if you don't work with people. It's always better to get a little money instead of none at all. I have contacted a lawyer and he believes, because the representative originally was being totally dishonest, I may have a case against them. I also taped phone calls of Aqua Reps telling me they could take my car and take my home (which is foreclosed anyway). My lawyer said they can not take anyone's home or car. Am I wrong about that?? This is a rip off scam company!!!! Beware!!!!

Aqua Finance does not sell water treatment Equipment

AUTHOR: Harry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 12, 2008

Aqua Finance does finance Water Treatment Equipment for those customers who choose our financing source. AFI does not sell or repair equipment. While we find it regrettable that the customer's system does not work, that is not a valid excuss to blame Aqua for his situation. If his car broke down would he blame the bank that financed his purchase for the problem? Withholding payment because the system is not working is not the best course of action and may only hurt himself financially in the long run. My advise would be pay his account and to further pursue the company that sold him the system to either have it repaired or replaced. Also It is very hard to look into all the facts when the customers full ID is not know. The customer would be welcome to contact me directly at harryk@aquafinance.com, so that I could look into the facts of his account and see if we could direct him to someone with the company that he purchased the systeme from or the manufactor of the equipment.
