Neither of these "agencies" have their models sign any contractor agreements or contracts, which legally make all their talent their employees, and not independent contractors. They pay no unemployment or worker's compensation to any of their talent when they are not working events. With them running business in this manner, they threaten every other legitimate modeling agency in the State of Wisconsin who do have their talent work as contractors and do have them under contract.
Numerous former Aras models have complained about being contacted for one or two jobs, waiting forever to be paid for those jobs, and then never being contacted again for additional work. These same models then receive no unemployment benefits.
The owner and her husband reap all the benefits (money) from this agency without taking heed of the legalities of running such a business; caring about the State requirements when it comes to promotional samplings; or caring about the State requirements for running/owning a business.

ALL Business has competition... competition can only speed past you if you aren't doing the best in the market. If you can't keep your clients, or your staff happy, satisfied, and RESPECTED - then you deserve to be passed by in the market. Legalities or not - if you're not nice, no one will want to work with you - and that may take time to see in the bottom line, but in the end - your agency is gonna crash. The owner must put forth time and effort, sacrifice their time, family and money to operate a business - if you don't show the client you'll go above and beyond, and push the limits of service, there are others out there who will.
Now, on the flip side... I've worked for the re butter. And I have had delays in payments. I DID find this agency to be 'clicky'. I was NOT under any contract. But if you weren't white, and you weren't a friend of Sara's.... you didn't get offered the best jobs. You were the 'leftovers' on the invite list - and after a period of time, if you weren't HOT, you were just simply dropped from the invitations - without work one from Aras - they used you to fill a gap, but didn't really want you for the base of their agency. When comparing the industry laws, Aras breaks many. I had to find out the hard way what is legal, and what is not while pouring samples of liquor in the state of Wisconsin. As for the client requirements, many are bent to conform to whatever we in the end wanted to do at the events.
I do find it hilarious that all of these rebuttal posts are all made within a short time frame... as if Sara saw the original post.. then contacted her friends to then post the rebuttals - none of which addressed what the report was truly flagging.
I was used to report on other agencies and how they work things. As for all of Saras Employees, with all these fancy titles and responsibilities.... I ask, why? A company of this size doesn't need all this fluff - it can't realistically carry the salaries that feed these employees. Hype sells though doesn't it.
And if you really want to know..... The client pays 30-40/hour... and you get 18-20. And really.... we weren't saving lives or improving the world - no. Heck, half the time the gals couldn't complete simple tasks like staying for the whole shift we were hired for. Overpaid - YES. But if the client wants to pay for what I do and how I do it... so be it! And these clients... where do they come from... well, it pays to know people at the distributor levels. If you didn't know these folks, do you think you'd have that on your portfolio... I don't know... do you ever market?
And how catty is this market?... well, let's ask Emily of MyCity Promotions, a former employee of Aras... who turn and stabbed Sara in the back, taking her models and her clients with a very UN-professional agency wide email. But then again, Emily's gals are more Stripper Pole (hey, just look at the website, it's free porn)... at least you can get an erection while buying the product. With Aras you just get a Self Described Smart Girl.

ARAS--A Great Company to Work For

with our companys reputation. I am certain that if ARAS was guilty for doing any of these things mentioned above, there would be no employees or clients willing to work with this company. I, personally, could not be more proud to be employed for a company that treats both clientele and staff with loyalty and
respect. The experience I have acquired from working with this company has benefited me significantly and has helped me prepare for the Marketing/Sales Industry that I am seeking a career in upon
graduating from college. I highly recommend employment with ARAS, you will not be disappointed.

Shocking! False Claim
AUTHOR: Anonymous - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, December 14, 2011
attempt to regain some business? I cannot think of an any other reason someone
would take the time to write this false claim.
Since I have worked with Aras (about 4 years now) I have never had any of these
so called "issues" falsely stated. I love working with them and will not work with any other local agency. If a person was contacted "for one or two jobs," this is also false. STATEWIDE Aras is growing rapidly and if the girls want to work they defintely have the oppurtunity!!
The owner is incredibly professional and so is the company. Anyone who has actually worked for the company or has done business with the company knows this.

I have NEVER had a problem getting paid on time and the business has always been run in a very professional manner.
In fact I referred a good friend who is now employed by Aras and absolutely loves it and how smoothly it is run. I truly enjoy my work with the company and find this complaint totally ridiculous and highly inaccurate.
