My wife and I waited ( Jan 26, 2001 ) over 45 minutes for two orders of biscuits and gravy. The lady behind the counter said it was 'coming right up'. 35 minutes later, we asked to speak to the manager who told us the drive through was too busy and we would have to wait. At that time, the manager's assistant came in from outside along with another co-worker. I asked them if they knew what was going on. They said they were told by the manager to go outside and pickup trash in the parking lot. Needless to say, this is why they have serving problems when we were there. They did finally give us our order, without any apology or future coupons.
My wife and I decided it was time to make a statment in the case. We both took our biscuits and gravy and gave them a shove right over the edge of the counter, into the area where the orders are taken. We acted improperly and very junvenile, we know that. But tried to make the most of a very crazy situation by following the seemingly pattern of chaos that Burger King seems to think is OK.
They just looked at us when we shoved the food over the edge - probably is still there on the floor.
This note just so you would know to watch out and be proactive.

Restaurant is gone

I worked at that location prior to the incident. The establishment was well run and as I worked in the mornings I doubt this would have happened. I have had this happen. However this isnt why I am posting. The restaurant closed in 2007 is now a Egg Roll Kingdom.

45m? doubtful

I seriously doubt this complaint is real.
Not even a idiot would wait 45 minutes for bicuits/gravy.
If it were steak or a fullblown meal...maybe...but even then.
In the case of fast food, after 5 minutes I would have complained or even asked for my $$ back.
In my own case I had one time (it was also at BK) that after 5 minutes at drive thru I went in and asked for my $ back. and in that particular case they actually had the food ready just after I got $ back.
Now, as a former restaurant worker myself (25 years ago I was in the biz for 10 years), if the food had been shoved at me... I would hav ebeen nice...but if the food had been thrown at me, and if it had been hot... you would have been lnjured in the response.
I actually had a knife & hot coffee thrown at me for a similar problem.
We had that guy arrested for attempted murder.
In the end that guy paid me $5000 and the restaurant $25k.
I personally sued him for everything I could.
As a food worker, even if I am at fault for bad service similar to this I would never tolerate violent response from a customer.
Even if valid, you risked much over a virtually cheap meal.
If your response had been violent enough you could have been legitimately hurt.
Even so, the BK manager should have offered you your $$ back and even coupons for a future purchase.. (for free food).

45 mins?!?

The only time in my life I ever waited 45 minutes for food was at a Crackhead Barrel in MD.
We told the MGR and then ate for free as the MGR said he'd make it right for us.
I don't think i've ever waited ten minutes for fast food.
Wow, I've never heard of any fast food chain giving priority to the drive thru vs. the eat-in section.
Odd.

Its fast food, not instant. Youre lucky they didnt call the cops. It was very retarded of you to throw food back at them. Im sure they loved that. Why not put yourself in their shoes?
Christ.
If you waited 45 minutes, youre intentions were to throw food, you should of just left if you werent going to eat it anyway.

Yeah, sure. 45 minutes you waited? I guess if you have a biscuits and gravy monkey on your back its on a real short leash. And the way you shoved the tray back at them... you rebels, you! Get a grip. The Rip-Off Report is a place for legitimate ripoffs, not a forum for exploring your Walter Mitty-ish fantasies.
