We ordered 800 sq ft of glass tiles from Artistique in December 2005. We received the tiles in January 2006 and we found out that almost half of the tiles are defective. The tiles have clear holes in them and one can see through the tiles, which is not even near the quality to install in someone's home.
We contacted Mrs. Vrunda from Artistique and explained the defective material. She in turn pointed out that it is out fault and refund will not be possible. We explained that the defect is in manufacturing and we are just opening the material. She asked for the pictures of the tiles and we submitted the asked content. It took us 4 months for us to convince her that their material is of a bad quality. By this time we had already realized that their customer service is horrible.
She then transferred our conversation to Mr. Ravi Gupta in Sep 2006. After talking to Mr. Ravi Gupta for 1 month, he agreed to send us a partial refund for the cost of defective tiles. We agreed and ask when he will be sending us the refund. He then stopped e-mailing us.
After waiting for his e-mail for weeks. We sent him an e-mail in Nov 2006 explaining that we are going to file a lawsuit against them and also file a complaint with http://www.ripoffreport.com/ regarding the defective material. He immediately wrote back and said he will send us the refund.
Another month passed and still no sign of refund. We wrote him again and he again said he will mail it. We then began to believe that he is just putting us off. So we sent another e-mail in December 2006 explaining the legal action we are going to take if the refund is not processed within 10 days. He then wrote back to us and said he has sent the refund.
After waiting for a week, no refund arrived. We asked for a tracking number from him and he stopped e-mailing us. We have then e-mailed Mr. Ravi Gupta four times from Jan 2007 to Mar 2007 but he never replied back. Obviously he never sent the refund.
This business transaction was a horrible experience. If it takes 1 year of communication in order to solve a problem of defective material and the problem is still not solved, there is no way anyone can do business with them. They have lost both our trust and our respect.
We believe that their business practices are horrible, customer service is very poor and the material quality is bad. We recommend not to do any type of business with Artistique.
