My wife bought a table and chairs from Ashley Furniture in Conroe, Texas while I was at work in West Africa. Well the agreement was that if the furniture was available at a certain date we would pick it up from the warehouse. Well we get to the warehouse on the day in question and they say the table is not available. We immediately call customer service and they tell us that the table in question is damaged. Well we were in the middle of a interstate move and were now sitting in the parking lot with a rented uhaul that i paid extra for just to fit the table. We we asked for a refund because we couldnt sit around and wait weeks for them to get another table in. Well...first line of defense was that they gave us the run around for 2 weeks. second line of defense was they said we did not notify them with in 24-48 hrs in order to cancel(the contract says that you need to contact them with-in 24-48hrs if you change your mind, which we did not! They F&$ked up) Third line of defense is that everytime you ask for a manager just anyone will get on the phone and say they are in charge. Well now I have 2k in store credit for a store that is 500 miles from my new home! they will do anything to keep your money!!
