I have had several psychic readings from asknow.com. I understand this is for entertaining purposes only. However, I am a true believer of psychics and the metaphysical. I have experience at times when there is not a good connection with the psychic and myself and I have never made a complaint to the asknow.com customer service. However, I had a psychic reading with psychic SunnyGrace. The reading was horrible that I left a comment stating the following:
"I don't think we connect; however, things you said did not make sense at the time. During the past two days things you mention added up but they were just misinterpreted. I went over my friends house and I found out she has a cat. I was not able to have a cat because my mate is allergic. This same friend is involved in partnership business similar to Mary Kay. I would never do that type of business because it does not match my personality. I don't have or will have a partnership regarding a building but a friend I met this weekend does have one with someone else. I could never afford a building partnership because I don't even have a job. Thanks you were very kind."
In addition, the comment I was kind enough to leave a fair star rating considering that we might not have connect, since this was the first time a psychic on this website was so off. I checked her profile and my rating and comment appeared immediately on her profile. Later that day I checked again and it was still there.
However, her reading was so ridiculous and off the mark that I called a different psychic right after and I was very happy with her. I left a nice rating for this psychic as I have with other psychics.
On April 10th I went back on the website and I was perusing the available psychics when I saw SunnyGrace. Out of curiosity I decide to click on her profile and went directly to her ratings. That is when I noticed that my rating and comment were missing. I felt upset as a consumer wondering how many other poor ratings have been knocked down from her ratings giving consumers an inaccurate rating. I picked her because she had high ratings or did she?! I immediately email customer service, here is my email:
"Dear Customer Service:
I gave psychic SunnyGrace a fair rating because things she said to me did not match or make sense. I also left a comment. Nonetheless, I still gave her a fair rating. Today, I noticed that my comment and rating I posted April 3rd where removed from her profile.
I do not think that is appropriate because as a consumer I should have the right to view ratings and comments as a source of reference. I am the one who is spending all the money for the psychic to give me a reading.
People should be able to view other people's comments regardless. I have picked psychics with some low or poor reviews and they were great for me. Sometimes they do not connect well the person or they might not be focused. However, they should let people leave their comments. That is the purpose of the rating service, right? Otherwise they are misleading the consumer, which I find it to be unethical.
Sincerely, unsatisfied customer:"
However, I remembered that I had emailed them in the pass and my email had not been returned, ever. So I decided to place a call to customer service.
When I first explained that my rating on comment was missing from the psychics profile and I was very upset about that as a consumer to the man who answered my call. He condescendingly said that this site is for entertainment purposes only. After I explained that I understand that and I have used there service a lot but because the psychic or someone removed my rating and comment that I felt that it was unethical and misleading so I want to refund only this particular psychic.
He went on me a liar, dumb for staying on a chat with a psychic that I did not connect with for 16 min (I explained that I was trying to see where she was going with her reading, and there is a delay on the online chat, which is accumulating time while asknow.com is charging you, and if the psychic does not type very fast or asks you questions you are paying for the time).
He said that is why he never does the chat, so he confirmed that the delay on the online chat is an issue that he even experienced. I brought all these issues to his attention. He tried & continued to argue with me.
He went on stating that asknow.com only guarantees the first ten minutes. I said "where does it state that on your website because I read it very carefully and that is not what I remember reading". He said that he was checking the website so he can direct me, then he said that he could not find it, but it stated that it was there.
At this time, I was a little frustrated, so I asked to speak with his supervisor. He said that his supervisor is going to tell me the same thing. I said "that is fine I want to speak with your supervisor". He hung up on me.
Of course I called back and a girl answered. I went through a similar protocol and she did not want to transfer me to her supervisor. However, this time she was able to direct me to the part on there site that states that they only guarantee and refund the first ten minutes of a conversation. So I said fine refund me because I was still upset they removed my rating and comment. And like the previous person who reported this site they said that she was going to have her IT department to take a look at it.
After a few hours had pass, I went back to read there terms & conditions again, where the girl from customer service had directed me earlier in the day. And to my astonishment there was a totally different terms & conditions. I copied it and saved it. The terms & conditions that I originally remember reading at the time when I first signed up, with an effective date of May 2008.
