Hi so I Just bought a AK 10! Its a 10 crack filling machine. $919. free shipping no tax.
**BEWARE!**BEWARE! ***

OK so I used a CC to pay for this unit . The salesman said"100% usa made 3 year warranty Top quality machine.  fully assembled "IN HOUSE"- they make 25 bucks on machine. thats it"

So I bought it. How could I go wrong?

 OK so heres where it gets messy!

I got a delivery opened it up- Its a crack machine by PAVEMADE made in CHINA. bent temp gauge, torch connector is bent and leaking (after I hooked it up) . handle needed to be assembled! When i assemblede it I noticed the bolts were stripped and wouldnt tighten. the bolts  are welded on to handle and would have to be cut off. They said there was a mix up and pavemade sent them a DEMO. but it was shipped from Cali! different state then they are in!

I called and spoke to the sales man then customer service named Sabrina. I stressed how I had this big job lined up and needed to use this! They BOTH said to use machine. So i did! I passed 3 boxes of rubber through machine.

I called a day after to see what was going on. Jen  another customer service rep told me shell look in to this!
 a day later I got a call from shipper wanting to pick it up. I said not till i get new melter 1st!!

Sabrina called saying she has to pick up machine before she sends another 1 out! she asked if i used it. I told her yes YOU and your sales man told me to. then she told me she cant take it back.. :hammerhead:

Is this really happening?

Sabrina called me back after speaking to owner and they will only replace the broken parts and ill have to do all labor to fix. and they will give me $100 credit! (BUT THIS IS A DEMO. FREE)

I didnt want a pavemade.com melter. I bought a AK10.

so I told them no. I want it replaced!

they wont!

I called my credit card and Im disputing this charge! I WILL NOT KEEP THIS JUNK! NOR WILL I SPEND TIME FIXING A NEW MACHINE I SPENT 919 BUCKS ON!

SO MY ADVICE TO ANYONE WANTING TO SAVE 100 BUCKS. DONT! SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY AND BUY FROM A COMPANY WHO HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR A WHILE.!!

DONT BUY FROM ASPHALT KINGDOM!! :weightlifter:

Recording calls???!!!

Asphalt Kingdom needs to review the statutes of the state in which they do business.  Whether it's PA or MI (area code 248), they cannot record calls unless both parties consent.  I don't know if the voice greeting at the beginning of the call states that the caller is being recorded...even then, the entire recording must include the actual answering of that particular call.  Be careful, Asphalt Kingdom, as the civil penalties for illegally recording calls is pretty severe in some states.

Rich Nappi - Call Recordings and Details As to What Really Happened

Hello,

We appreciate you reading this rebuttal and glad that ripoffreport provides the ability for us to respond to the claims that Rich Nappi made against our company.

There are always two sides of the story and we would like to share ours.

We would like to start off by saying that we have all supporting documentation and PROOF (e-mails and call recordings) to support our rebuttal, for those who are interested in hearing or reading them.

We prefer to deal with proof rather than just written words. Proof is really all that matters and we have all of that for people interested in obtaining it.

- Rich Nappi purchased a crack machine from us on the 30th of July for $919 with free shipping and no sales tax.

- We have listened to every call to and from Rich Nappi's phone number and nobody ever told Rich Nappi to use the machine that was damaged. We never told him what he claims here:

"I called and spoke to the sales man then customer service named Sabrina. I stressed how I had this big job lined up and needed to use this! They BOTH said to use machine. So i did! I passed 3 boxes of rubber through machine."

This is absolutely not true. We are open to any proof that Rich may have related to this claim though.

- Rich Nappi received the unit and contacted Sabrina at our company with the following e-mail after speaking with Sabrina:

Here are the photos. My guy bent the gauge back in place and looks like its right. But the cover keeps coming off. After u see these photos please call me.

Theres a stamp that says pave mate made in china. Idk if it will come out on my phone. Please
resolve this issue asap bc this is costing me money bc I don't want to use it if its going back.

Rich Nappi

- Sabrina called Rich Nappi back and told him we were working on getting his unit picked up and returned as it was a demo unit and he was suppose to get our other main unit. It was an honest mistake and we were going to fix the problem immediately.

- We arranged with a freight carrier to contact Rich Nappi to have the machine picked up. The freight carrier contacted Rich Nappi and then e-mailed us back with the following:

I just spoke to Mr. Rich Nappi that he will NOT RELEASE the shipment until he gets the replacement.
And he will be out of town in this week He prefers to receive a replacement one by next Monday between 3 ~ 6pm.

- Sabrina then called Rich Nappi back to discuss this matter to find a solution, as we usually require that we get the unit back and inspect it prior to shipping a new machine out. Our policy is also very clear on our website at http://www.asphaltkingdom.com/our-policies.html.

- During the above discussion Sabrina asked Rich Nappi whether he had used the machine or not and his words clearly stated "Yes, what did you think I was going to sit around with a machine and not use it?"

- Our policy clearly states:

Refunds / Returns

Once any equipment and or product is purchased and used there is a strict no return policy. We will arrange for service, replace  malfunctioning parts and send missing items but in no way shape or form provide a refund once equipment has been used unless a defect can be proven. Should equipment be determined to have a defect, we will repair it or refund your purchase price.  Refunds can only be issued once we have received the items back at our location and confirmed any
defect.  Modified or altered items may not be returned.

Warranty

We provide a 180-day warranty on equipment from the date of purchase.  Any alteration or modification to the equipment will void the warranty.  Any use of the equipment outside the specific instructions provided in the owners manual or instruction pamphlet that accompanies all our equipment will also void the warranty.  We strongly recommend reading the instructions for equipment in full before equipment  operation.

- Because Rich Nappi had used the machine and had run crackfiller through the machine and paint was discolored from the heat, we instead offered to send him the replacement temperature gauge and replacement handle which would have been a plu n' play fix that we stand behind.

- Sabrina offered Rich Nappi every solution. Replacement of the complete machine, but he used the machine and it worked fine as he states, other than the temp gauge. Sabrina offered him brand new replacement parts and his answer was..... "No, I don't want anything from you and I will do everything I can to destroy your reputation".

- Rich went on to file complaints with other websites and youtube and has continued to pull our credible reputation down.

We strive to provide outstanding quality, service and support and we continue to gain clients that we respect and appreciate.

There are always two sides of the story.

We have all the recordings with Rich Nappi so if anyone has questions about this case please feel free to contact us and we will happily let you listen to them and how Rich Nappi dealt with our staff.

He cussed the customer service and sales department out and did everything he could to post negative things about our company, as he told Sabrina in one of the recordings he would.

People see through this though and is the reason why we have wonderful clients like:
