Was contacted by mail to resolve an old debt. I was offered and interested in the percentage offer for the account. 1st letter stated I had 45 days to take the offer. I had just paid others off, so I was aware of how it should be handled. When I contacted Asset Care, Inc. I asked that they send the percent agreement for the account to be paid in full. I recieved another letter days later stating that I had made a payment agreement for the amount that would have been the settlement agreement to be applied to the full amount owed. I contacted by phone a second time. The first employee git mad and hung up on me., I called back the second employee sounded just like the first, but had a new name. When I commented on that she hung up, So I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor or superior and finally got Kevin. His only interest was to inform me that I owed Asset Care a debt and stated that his offices would not meet my expectations for simply sending the percentage agreement offer that would settle the account if full. We yelled back in forth, Finally I told him, it was already on my credit report and dared him to take futher actions in resolving. Figured its already on my credit report, what are they gonna do put it on there again? At first I had a very strong interest in sending them money to settle the debt, But now I perfer that they let the courts take whatever action needed. At least I'd have the comfort knowing that it was being resolved effectively and accurately.
