I talked to someone named Christian on July 11th 2006. I purchased a package to put a website up that would earn commissions. I paid $300. I was guaranteed that if I didn't make any money, I would get the $300 back. On July 17, Chris Williamson called from Assurance Plus offering me a way to advertise on the internet and get people to come to my website. He said that if I didn't make any money that they would probably give me my money back for that also, because they didn't want any trouble with these big companies. This was $3995. Also, he promised that I would get 15000 hits within a year or they would give me another 15000 hits free next year. I have not received 1 penny from this venture. I contacted them in January asking for my money back. I talked to Paul Sethi once and he told me the check for the $300 would be sent out on Feb. 15th. I have not received it yet. I also asked him about the $3995. He said that that was not guaranteed for refund. When I told him that that is what Chris said, he said he would not have said that or he would be fired. Paul said that he had recorded copied of our conversation and that it would take about a week to get the tape back and review it. Then he would call me and let me know what they would do. He never called. I called several times to talk to him. When someone did answer the phone, they said he was taking care of an emergency or he was sick. The last time I talked to them they could not decide if he was sick or taking care of an emergency. Britney said that there was a note there that said he listened to the tape and there was nothing said about a guarantee to return my money. I have tried repeatedly to contact them. They will not answer my call or return my request to call me back. They must see my number on the caller ID and not answer. I did try calling on my cell phone once and they did answer that call. (Unfamiliar number) I asked them several times if my account was hooked up right with EBay and Amazon.com. They assured me that it was. On my report of hits it said that there had been over 3500 hits on each one. I asked if it didn't seem a little strange that not one person has bought or signed up for anything? Yes, they thought that that was a little unusual, but my account was still connected properly. Now they will not even answer my cell phone number. I have never heard the tape he claimed to have or had the satisfaction of talking to Paul or anyone else after that.
The business that I was supposed to get commission on was EBay and Amazon.com. My account number is: 14316. I have checked my commission page lately on those businesses and they said that my account had been closed. So far Assurance Plus has not done one thing that they said they would do, including answering my phone call.
I am seeking the total refund of my investment of $300 and $3995. The hosting fees that I have incurred are minimal.
I am afraid that this is going to sound too familiar to some people. BE WARNED!! Call your credit card company within 60-90 days to report a this company as a fraud.
