In 2011 we bought a new 95% efficient furnace from Assured Heating out of Dayton, Mn. Almost from the get-go we had problems with this furnace.
Recently, we had 2 other furnace repair companies come out to evaluate our furnace. Both told us the furnace we got installed 2 years ago was not a brand new furnace--but rather a reconditioned used furnace. Both these other professional furnace repair companies also told us the furnace was installed "dangerously incorrect."
In trying to get hold of Assured heating about this apparent fraud, they ignore now all phone calls and written correspondences from us.
We paid almost $4000 for this supposed new furnace and correct professional installation. Obviously we were ripped off--and hopefully this report prevents somebody else from meeting the same fate. If you have any questions you can reach me at (((REDACTED))).

In the previous rebuttal we indicated the furnace was manufactured in June, 2010. It was actually April of 2010.
Sorry for any confusion.
Thank you!

After all this time this utter nonsense is all you could come up with???
Think about your excuses in your rebuttal:
1) "The homeowner came up with the serial# and price" Do I look like a heating and cooling guy?
2) "We put steel pads in our intakes on the intakes on the exterior of the home" Are you kidding me--who would do that?
3) "2 other companies walked away from from putting a new furnace in their home" First of all that is patently false and 2nd how in the world would you know such a thing??
You really would have been better keeping your mouth's shut, rather than come up with this lame rebuttal after all these months! Maybe such a rebuttal made you guys feel good. However anybody nuetral and/ or a potential future customer who would read this can easily see how unprofessional you guys are!

The accusation made above is false and inaccurate. First of all they contacted us with a specific model, a specific price and we honored both of those for the customer.
The claim of the furnace being reconditioned is false. There is no such thing as a reconditioned furnace. The client received a brand new furnace. The following is the information on the furnace he received: Carrier Furnace, M# 58UVB100-1-20, and S # 1610A00307. The serial number indicates the date of manufacture of the furnace. The first two numbers of the serial number is the week that it was manufactured (16th week) and the next two numbers indicate the year of manufacture (2010). This was a brand new furnace that was manufactured June 2010 and we installed it July 27, 2010 at the clients home. They also claim that the furnace was “installed dangerously incorrect”. The furnace installation was inspected by the city and it passed inspection. We also had the Carrier rep in Minnesota come out to the home to inspect the furnace and they found nothing wrong either.
They claim that the furnace was not working from day one. The only time the furnace was not working correctly was when the customer put steel wool into the intake and exhaust pipes on the exterior of their house. When we went out on this call we took out the steel wool and we did not charge them for coming out, even though it was not a problem with the furnace but rather a problem with what they did.
During the 1-year labor warranty that we gave them we made several attempts to satisfy the customer. After the 1-year labor warranty was up we made a decision to no longer provide labor work for them.
In Assured Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration Inc.’s 17 years of business we have never refused to provide service to a client. There is no satisfying this person. We later found out that the 2 other companies that also bid the job in 2010 walked away from it. We wish we had as well.
