Atlantic Marcite Neil and Michael Rubin Complete rip off- bad workmanship, never got my guarantee. Michael was frightening when I tried to point out the problems-he screamed at me. Never got the warranty. Tried to charge me $155 Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Neil came out- all smiles and assurances, telling me that since he was licensed and insured and been doing this forever I could trust him. Then he took the money and turned the job over to his son, Michael.

The equipment was duct taped together- and stopped working later that night. Neil came out and informed me that Michael used a hose that was too short and that it could have popped out the pool from draining all the water so close. It went down hill from there.

The job was a mess. The pool finish requires specific care after it's done- they didn't tell me what to do so I finally had to call the manufacturer. At one point I tried to call Neil and Michael wouldn't let me talk to him-instead he screamed at me.

The finish is blotchy, streaked and the steps are horribly done- sharp edges and odd shaping instead of curved like they should be.

Fixing the light was supposed to be part of the job-that's what we agreed on verbally but he didn't write it on the contract. Then they tried to charge me an additional $155 for the transformer. I've had 2 electricians out here since then and they both came to the conclusion that it is a wire, not the transformer.

They were supposed to send me a warranty in the mail. I never got it. They asked me to sign a piece of paper regarding the things that were supposed to be finished on the job and then they took it and wrote "job complete" after I'd signed it, making it look like I had signed off that it was all done.

These people are crooks, and I would be afraid to have Michael anywhere near me. His fuse is short and he seems to have no impulse control. Don't go near these people. You'll be sorry.

50,000 pools have been completed by Atlantic marcite. Cynthia. Let's talk about your pool. You signed approvals stateing job was competed and you were happy. All the complaints are chemical issues and customers such as yourself that complained about stuff not to do with our company. Cynthia lives in a disgusting eviormemt with tree branches falling on your new pool surface. Dogs walking on the first step of the pool scratching the finish. We have pictures. Our attorney is handling this and Cynthia will be notified.

All you have to do is google Atlantic Marcite to know that there are a multitude of problems with the company. Over 40 complaints with the BBB in 3 years? I'm not the only one that has had a problem. When I called another company to get a leak in my brand new pool fixed they told me that they come behind Atlantic Marcite all the time because of all of the problems. In fact, they expressed surprise that the manufacturer of the diamond brite was still selling product to Atlantic Marcite because they'd heard that the manufacturer had issued a do not sell to Atlantic due to warranty problems. Another local pool person told me of some subcontracting they'd done for Atlantic Marcite and how Atlantic ripped them off. Google them, talk to other local businesses in the same field and you'll find out that they have a well earned reputation of shoddy workmanship and bad business dealings.

Completely Incorrect

This lady is 100% incorrect. First of all she signed our contract and it states on it ELECTRICAL NOT INCLUDED, we were doing her a favor helping her with her time clock. 2nd of all we did give her a pool care instructions kit that she did sign explaining to her how to maintain a pool. Her accusations are completely false we would have been happy to help her with whatever she may need, no one from this company ever screamed at her.
