Atlantic One Ripped off and still unable to recover Milford Delaware

My family and I were under financial stress. Car was broke down and really needed to get another one to get back and forth to work. The problem was that we could not afford a down payment. When I received the call from Atlantic One, who told me that I had been pre-approved for a visa or mastercard with a $1500 limit, I thought it was a God send. I allowed them to take their "one time processing fee" of $319.00 from my checking account. Which by the way is more than a weeks pay for me. True to their word a couple weeks later I received an information packet in the mail. They said that they needed additional information from me. I filled out the paper, including information that I was not comfortable about giving out and I sent it back to them. By the next week I called the toll free number to find out where my credit card was because I had not received it yet. Was told that they had received my additional information and I should be getting the card in 7-10 business days. They even said that it would be issued to me through my own bank. The days came and went and still no card. After that everytime I tried to contact them I would get a recording saying that the customer service mail box was full and for me to try my call at another time.

As of last week the phone number has been disconnected. I gave up a weeks pay to these people and we have not been able to get back on track since. I have two small children at home and my husband is suffering from renal failure and not able to work all the time. So, I am really hoping that everyone that has been scammed by these people files a report and that everyone involved is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. They prey on vulnerable people, innocent people who are just trying to survive. It has been more than 60 days since the money was taken out of my account and I am afraid that my bank will not do, much in the way of helping me, considering I have had some serious financial problems since all of this began back on July 23rd.
