So....original poster says, "I cannot begin to stress to anyone applying for a job (particularly college grads) to do your research.  Look up the company before you send your resume off.  Check out their website and see what it has to say, google the companies name.  And ALWAYS look them up again after they call you"......immediately after saying, "I never followed through with interviews, or made follow-up calls." 

I find it very interesting that the original report was filed by somebody who's entire experience with Atlas Marketing was the 1 preliminary phone call they recieved.  So, without an interview, without getting to see anybody face to face, without even finding out what the position was, it's ok to decide that the entire business is a scam?  That's 'conspiracy theory' level detective work there.

And just what kind of "scam" is it exactly?  Because the poster keeps using that word without any further qualifiers, or what most of us would call facts.  Were they trying to lure the poster in so they could force him/her to do work and make money?  I kind of thought that was the point of getting a job, but our "overqualified" poster's experience might be different than regular people's.

Here is a helpful checklist for future job searches, and I hope this helps,

 - Know what company you are sending your resume to.  Do not send a resume to a bakery if you are allergic to muffins.

 - Try actually showing up for an interview you've been scheduled for.  Wasting other people's time is generally frowned upon.

 - Do not be upset if you are offered an entry level position.  Isn't that where almost everyone starts?

 - Have a good attitude.  The job-seeker is the one asking for the job, not the other way around.

 - Do some simple investigative work, such as walking through the door and actually speaking to someone.

The original poster sounds like he/she was angry about being offered an entry level position when he/she felt qualified for something better.  Most of us know we don't start work in a new company as the Vice-President, but it is a shock, apparently, to some.  I have known the people that work at Atlas for nearly a year now, and from personal experience, they are high-energy, highly motivated, fun-loving hard-working people who do not deserve this ripoff report.
