Recently got an email from an Attorney Travis Griffin stating that I took out a payday loan in the amount of $300 two years ago and that since I had not paid any on the loan it had rose to $700. I have NEVER taken out a payday loan. At all and did not even have a bank account 2 years ago that the money could have been direct deposited into as the email says.
The person has my SSN, and DOB but does not have my full and or correct address or phone number. They proceeded in the email to threaten to sue me and put a warrant out for my arrest if I did not make immediate payments in the amount of $200 bi weekly for 4 months. Email is not a real law office email and the phone number in the email is a very well known scamming number.
