I had a DVD player, DVD monitor, backup camera, and rearview monitor installed in my 2004 Honda Pilot for $1200.00 and it is not working properly. The salesman, Zak, told me that the DVD player, DVD monitor, backup camera, and the rearview monitor will be installed in my Honda Pilot for $1200.00 to include all parts/labor/equipment.

On Saturday, Feb 26, 2005, I went back to Audio Matrix to get the rearview monitor fixed because I could not see the monitor due to sunlight glare and the DVD monitor was not working properly (flickering) when the car is moving.

Zak told me to come back during Monday-Friday because his technician only works on weekdays. I told him that it will be hard for me to come back to the Audio Matrix because of my work hours but I'll try.

On Friday, March 18, 2005, I took my car back to Audio Matrix but Zak was not there so the other salesmen asked the technicians to take a look at the DVD/rearview monitor system. Zak came in a hour later when the technicians were taking the wiring apart and checking the wiring.

They stated that there was a cross feed problem and power shortage with the rearview monitor and DVD monitor. Zak told me that I needed to purchase an additional video amplifier for $45.00 in order for the rearview camera to display DVD movies.

I told him that when we agreed on $1200.00, it included all installation parts/labor costs and equipment before I signed the invoice.

I have a copy of the signed invoice. I didn't pay the additional $45 and Audio Matrix left the DVD/rearview monitor not working correctly. The rearview monitor does not display DVD movies. The glare on the rearview monitor is still not fixed. I've reported this to the Better Business Bureau and eventually will be going to small claims to get these problems fixed or get my $1200.00 back.

Expectations and asumptions, from unreasonable customer.

AUTHOR: JLZ - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, March 17, 2012

First off what was sold to this person is exactly what was agreed on and signed off by the customer.  What I am reading here is that everything as stated was installed and at the time and working fine.  The additional need of an amplifier unit for the video is an unseen problem because this customer seems to be the kind that would check everything before leaving the store in which I am sure he did.  So it was working fine at that time.  It was later on that the problem occurred which can happen to video signals.  The booster was not included because this type of problem is only detected afterwards.  I can't see how anyone, like this customer, can make demands on not paying for the unit and labor and hold Audio Matrix accountable.  And the glare issue?  Sun light coming into the vehicle causing glare can't be controlled.  So what does he want?  For them to control the sun or fix something that's not an issue.  This is clearly a case of ignorance and unreasonable expectations fueled by assumptions by this one customer.  Unfortunate as it may be, this issue is an attempt in hurting someones business by labeling them scammers.  Go back and read what this customer Seng from San Pedro reported one more time.  I think you may find that Seng is not right in the way he sees things.  This is the type of person I would not waste my time even acknowledging his presents.  Clearly a problem child.  Right is right and wrong is just that.  Audio Matrix did the business right.  The customer clearly is wrong and I also question this site, ripoffreport.com  in allowing this kind of reckless abuse to hurt the business of another that did nothing wrong.  Or can anyone post anything here.
