Aurora Financial Services ripoff scammed Haverhill Massachusetts

I applied online for a loan ($5,000). A Patrick Smith called me and told me I was approved. He told me I would have to send in $1,250 as collateral. I told him I did not have that much. He said I could send in $770 and when I got the loan then I could send the rest--$480. When I did not hear anything from him in over a week, I finally reached him. He said that I did not qualify and could either have my money back or send in the whole amount. I asked that my money be refunded.

I have not heard anything from him in over week. He said, when I last talked with him, that the money would be refunded to me in 5 business days. That was over two weeks ago. When I call the number I get a recording that "My unverisal account has been put on hold."

I contacted the Haverhill Police Dept. and they said that there is no 429 Oxford Street.

Please advise me on what I could do to get my money back.
