Where do I begin, I saw a nice 2004 Mercedes clk 55 amg convertible at the luxury used car lot across the street from where I work, priced at $19,000, I go there and negoite a deal with the sales person, he brought the price down to $18,500, there were a few blemishes on the car, he gave me an option, either he fixes them for the original price of $19,ooo, or I fix them for the reduced price of 18,500. I chose option b, figuring he might not do it and Im stuck with the extra 500 dollars. Also, with that price it was no problem to fix those minor things myself.  Anyway, here's where the problems begin, the sales person told me that he doesn't do the financing for the vechicle, that Auto Gallery Motors on Northern Blvd, in Douglaston Ny does, right there I shouldve told him let's just forget this whole thing. But, because I thought I was getting such a ''good'' deal, & the car was beautiful, I went to Auto Gallery the next day with a family member who's name I was putting the car under. So the sales person there, tells me that it was really hard to get my family member approved for the loan, but he was able to pull it off, I told him how could that be, we paid off two car loans in the past, he said, "oh'' they were so long ago, this that and the other thing. So I look at the Sales Contract, and the total price of the car is $25,100 for a four year loan, I agreed to put down 6 grand, so it now was, 19,100, I said something is wrong here, there are over $2,000 in extra charges and I added the  sales tax, Dmv, and the finance charge. He said there were extra bank fees to get this loan approved, right there I shouldve told him where to put the car, but I needed it, and figured Im still ahead of the game with the price. So I called the bank and asked them if they had charged me these fees they said no, they're dealer charges. So, I went back to his office to get the sales contract, which I forgot there that day, he never told me hey u forgot this, like a professional business would've. I guess he didn't want me to see that he had added those extra charges to the price of the car. So I tried to get negoite with him, he said nothing can be done, since I already signed the sales contract. After that I said can u atleast take care some of the minor issues with the car, he said yeah, yeah, and nothing is being done here. They take down my phone #, and never call me back. Stay away from this dealership, theyre scammers, they add their own fees to the sales price, plus they don't take care of anything they promise. Im going to report them to the Better Business Bureau, u agree to one price, and they charge u something else. I have read other complaints about them on this page, and with the BBB.

Oh No, You Can't Mean THAT!

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

Did the SCAM you with bogus, add-on, phoney fees?  Of course!  The use of PHONEY FEES is a mainstay in the Sleazy American Car Business!  Like the others said however, its a done deal.  Even though we are 1000 miles away, I am shaking like crazy over your threat.  You really need to reconsider this.  Please...even though they did scam you with PHONEY FEES, please, please have a heart.  If you "report" them to the BBB, there will be nothing but destruction and heartache.  Your phone call or letter will unleash one of the most powerful forces on the planet.  No one at that store will be safe as the BBB drones start the raid by patrolling the sky above.  At just the right time, the BBB German Sheppards will be released, the special guard dogs which have surgically altered teeth.  Then from an unseen location, from a specially constructed armored vehicle, the BBB troops will charge and circle the store and set up a neighborhood perimeter.  Once the BBB troops have secured the scene, the special mobile BBB courtroom inside a converted tractor trailer will be escorted to the scene.  Inside will be waiting a special BBB judge and 12 member jury.  There will be the look of fear on the faces of the guilty.  There will be loud crying and wailing.  You will see the salesmen down on their knees asking for mercy as none of them want to face the full wrath of the BBB.  They know full well the guilty, as judged by the BBB, have spent years and years in specially constructed BBB prisons rumored to be on an island just off the coast of New Jersey.  Some however, will be executed.  Yes sir, the BBB is somebody you don't want to mess with.  I know you will forever have in your mind the huge amount of consequences the BBB will inflict on these people.  They know too and you can be sure many will ask for a speedy execution rather than be taken to the BBB work camp.  So again I ask you to turn the other cheek.  The BBB is much to powerful and deadly to mess around with.  So much so, even local government and law enforcement won't have anything to do with them.  Please...have a heart!

too late

AUTHOR: dee - (United States of America)

this is exactly what happened to me. i just bought a car from them for 20,500 over financing. i deposited 6000 dollars. but when i see the total sale price its 31,686 for a 20,500 car. and they told me the same thing, like fees and taxes. i am thinking of bringing them to the court. if anyone wants to join me, that would be fine with me. we can work together to file a case against them.

Your insticts were correct.   Yet you still went along and agreed to it.

". So I tried to get negoite with him "

The time to negotiate a contract is before it is signed.   The purpose of the contract is to finalize the deal.   Although you say you agreed to one price and they charged you another, they have a contract (with your signature) that says you agreed to the higher price.

Not much you can do about it now.  In the future, if you don't agree, don't sign.  There are rarely any "do overs" where contracts are concerned.   Also, adding bogus charges to sales contracts is pretty common at most car dealers.

"u agree to one price, and they charge u something else"

You agreed to the price when you signed the contract.
