I purchased an extended warranty from Auto Processing Center on 1/10/2013, but after some thought changed my mind . I called the 800 number on my acceptance letter to find out what I needed to do to cancel the contract and was told to send back the contract with a written message saying that i wish to cancel . I did that on 2/1/2013 with tracking information on it so I would know when it was received by them . They received it on 2/5/2013.

I am not sure exactly when I started to call them to check on the status of my refund , maybe a week or so . But the refund dept which then was someone named Austin on the recording , so I left a message with my name and phone number but no return call , so I called back numerous times and not able to speak to anyone in that dept , so I tried the dept that said , if you want to cancel your contract , option 2 on their phone service and the lady there was very ugly to me . In which I told her that I had been told by Honda that alot of these companies were a scam and that since I wasnt able to get any return calls , that I was beginning to wonder about their company .

Also I was told that it could take from 2-8 weeks in processing for the refund to be returned to me . So I called about every week to check on things but was NEVER able to speak to anyone in the "REFUND" dept . after a week or so , there was another voice on the refund dept and this was Daniel . Sometimes when I got no response in the refund dept I would try to speak to someone in the sales dept , option 1 . They could only tell me , "it is in processing" .

On maybe one occasion or 2 , in sales I spoke to someone polite and understanding that I had waited a long time for my money and they were sorry and helpful as they could be about it , but on the other times , the representatives were nasty and some hung up on me . The last occasion I had to speak with someone it was supposedly the Customer Service Manager . I tried to explain to him that I had been as patient as I could about this refund and I was upset and that i DID believe I was being taken for my money and that I didnt know if this was even a real company or a good one , etc. He called me paranoid and I told him that in 58 years I had NEVER been thru this with any company . He also tried to say that my refund might not have been returned because I did NOT send in an odometer reading with my cancellation .

This is the FIRST time anyone had mentioned this to me . In reading this contract I returned it before 30 days and it was never used . And that was NOT what I was told to do when I called and spoke to the lady on option 2 . I also have called Omnisure Group that takes the payments for Auto Processing Center and of course they couldnt help me about the refund but she did seem to understand why I was so upset with this company , Auto Processing Center . She did make the suggestion that if I didnt receive my refund after the 8 weeks that I could report this to the Attorney General .

I have been told by this sales people and by the person on option 2 ( dept to speak to if u want to cancel) . that to "GO ahead and report us for 195." and laugh and they have made fun of my southern accent and hung up on me numerous times. This is the most UNPROFESSIONAL business I have ever seen . I am a disabled Nurse , and I worked very hard for my money and 195. is alot for me to lose .

Way to get your deposit back

 I also was caught in this scam and when I tried to call to talk to someone all I got was an answering machine and never recieved a return call. This went on for several months so I filed an on line complaint with consumer protection in my home state of Pa. It took less then 3 weeks to get a full refund of my deposit.

I filled a report a few days ago , not positive about exact date ,, its terrrible that we have to NOW write down every date and talk we have with every person we speak to on the phone , just to protect ourselves.

I was just reading some other peoples complaints by this same company Auto Processing Center , these people were also unhappy about what things were going to be covered in the policy , so they changed their mind as well . and they also NOW cant get their money back and no response to messages left . On my last call to them that i had to call another ext. other than the refund one but thats the last call i have made to them and it supposedly was the manager of Customer services , HE said that maybe i hadnt gotten my refund in 8 weeks or more because I didnt send in my certified  odometer reading with my contract . And my argument with him about that was that i had sent what THEY told me to send back ,, a written notice that i wanted to cancel & I mailed back my contract . All within the 30 days . well a response from someone saying that they worked for auto processing center to this person SAID ... that within the 30days , no odometer is necessary , only after the 30 days . So they just arent refunding the money . they KNOW that most banks will honor our money for us , so they could care less . And like so many complaints i have read about them , the people that work there think all this is funny .

When I first was suspicious of them I decided to call my dealer . I have a new car or pretty new , 5,000 miles on it 2011. I am disabled and I dont drive much at all . so i called my dealer to find our how much a bumper to bumper would be thru them & it was about 1900. for 7 years . When Auto processing center first called me and called me they had it at   1900.  and i finally took that  but called back and wanted to cancel and they brought it down to 1400.  But after i spoke to my dealer I couldnt stop thinking about it so i wanted to cancel no matter how cheap it was . so as soon as i got the new contract I called them and after alot of back and forth they said mail it back with a note and i did .

Like someone else said , they seem to know everything about  you , no matter which one u speak to . One rep knew who  they were speaking to without my telling them and then another one acted like I was nuts to think they knew who I was . I told them that it wasnt a secret , called ID shows that . They were the ones so secretive . When I told them what I suspected , that they were a scam and might be just some smart men and woman and figured a way how to scam people , this woman acted like I was a "crazy old lady" . I knew this company then they needed new service people .

well I am still waiting on my 195. and plan to continue to call . and what ever else I can do to make this right . Because they had told me mine refund was PROCESSING  and told me 2-8 weeks I waited and didnt turn a claim in to my bank & after 60 days , my bank couldnt help me . this all came from either the supposed Sales or cancellation , I neverrrrr got to speak with refunds... Daniel & Austin were not there . NOT available for answering OR calling back .
