i purchase a battery at Auto zone, i paid $200.00 for it because i wanted one with a long warranty. and one that they recomend, The battery has a dead cell in it i took it to them and they ask for my number but my number had change over a year ago so i couldn't remember it but i call every one until i got all three number but they are going to tell me that they don't have a battery purchase on that number i told them that that is bull .i had move from the south side to the west side and i had my furniture in storage until my apartment became available so i can not find the receipt, but i know those was the numbers unless they crewed up and put the wrong number down, so the way i look at it a numbers can change but the name stay the same so that is a stupid ideal to use a number instead of a person name. i even told them the month the battery were purchase that shouldn't be hard to check they didn't sell them many battery they just don't want to honor the warranty on there bad products. if you don't want to honor the warranty well don't put a warranty on it and stick a high price to it if i knew the battery wouldn't have last but a little over a year i would have bought one for $40.00 or less or a use one. i have nothing good to say about that company now since they stuck it to me like that,When you go in those store they ask for information about your vechile then they look in there book and get the information so that mean everything they sell have a number on it so why you can't just go to the shelf and look at the same item and then you would know how long the warranty is on that item especially same item and same price because it was not on sale then and it is not on sale now.
