This site is for consumers to voice their opinions and experiences with a particular company and that is what was provided. It's not our problem that un-trained employees don't know how to explain the procedures and policies of a company in which they are employed. I have patronized several companies of this nature and have never, ever encountered an experience such as this. I am a very successful, professional, and educated consumer. Actions such as this happen everyday within this region believe it or not. In addition, no I am not of a minority group, but if I was in any group it will be equality for everyone and not just of a certain race.
Also for the record, the manager and an employee of this store have received several complaints about this same instance and in turn have been terminated for being un-professional. It is highly unfair to subject a young adult, such as my daughter, to see this display of unprofessionalism in the workplace. There were a perfect example of how not to act. It seems to me that everyone that had something negative to say may want to take their energy and effort and do something productive in their lives.
Are you a member of a minority group, such as STUPID?
Get a life.
Good luck though, like someone said, "You can't fix stupid."
You mention the district and regional managers all being part of the big conspiracy to treat you badly so I guess that bringing your problem to them proved fruitless.
Maybe the problem is YOU. Be nice to people and store employees, you will get much better service.

in the computer, when they are looking up the part, it lists the time it takes to change the battery if it is difficult. some cars are easy to do, and others have a fuse box or metal bar in the way, or are difficult to reach. if a zoner did not have much experience with your car and said it takes an hour, guess how long you're going to be waiting in the parking lot? you will encounter the same thing, whether you go to advance, or'reilly's, nappa, or pep boys.
autozoners are not mechanics. they are sales associates at a Do It Yourself car part retailer, and no amount of training makes a hard to reach battery easier to change. if they tell you they can't change your car battery, they can't change your car battery. if your husband is THAT able and good at changing the battery, he should have done it in the first place. your statement that you were discriminated against is laughable, dramatic, and ridiculous.
in some ways, i can see how you are mad. however, you are not entitled to a free battery replacement. go on to the company website under services, and see if you can find anything about free battery installation. (it's not there) the free installation is an unofficial service that they do, but only if they are able to do it. if you really want someone to change your battery for you, take it to a mechanic.
