I advertised my car on Craigslist / Ebay Classifieds, and within a few days received a call from this company to sell my car for me. The representative, Jason Harvey said that with their service, I could sell my car more quickly. He said that over 90% of their cars sell within 30 days. He said that their company (AutoTrader Network / Classic Trader Network) has a network of over 25 web sites and 750 affiliate websites such as Hemmings where my car would be listed . He also claimed that my ad would be searchable via Google and would be one of the leaders when consumers looking for such a car are searching.  So I agreed, and he charged my credit card for $99.00.

They claimed that it would take a day or so to get my ad placed with the affiliates and it would be searchable via Google etc.  Three days later, I was trying to search for my ad via their Google search on their website and found nothing.  In fact, you cant even search the website by year, Make and Model.  You can only search by Make.  Not both.  Needless to say I could not find anything related to my ad when searching as a guest.    I called the customer service department and they directed me to the classictradernet.com website yet again and said I have to login with the credentials they gave me to find my ad.  I explained to the customer service rep (Jennifer) that I was told anyone would be able to search my ad as a guest of the site.

You know that feeling you get when you think you just got ripped off.  That is when I started searching the Internet and found that this company has a history of ripping off consumers.   I asked the customer service rep (Jennifer) to refund my money as the services I was promised were not delivered.  She refused and ensured me that I received the link was my ad.  Again, I asked for a refund and she refused stating that she would have to talk with her upper management.  Well, we all know what a black hole of upper management means.

As stated in other ripoff reports.

1.       The web site was not the Auto Trader that we all know from the magazines at 7-11, which is AutoTrader.com.

Yet, again another company ripping off the consumer.  Beware of this company!
