Sick and Tired

I am really sick of tired of people like you saying UOP is a rip off. Financial Aid can take some
time. I mean, you register for school and expect financial aid in a month, you come on. I have
been with this school for three years as now I am a Junior. I have my AA in Psychology from
Axia. I have never, ever, had problems with UOP and financial aid. Maybe I have been lucky
but I fully investigated this school before I decided to attend and I do so online.

VIRGINIA COLLEGE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $80,000 FOR A PARALEGAL CERTIFICATION THAT I DIDN'T NEED TO GET A JOB IN TEXAS AND PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN VALID ANYPLACE ELSE. I WOULD HAVE TO HAVE A BACHELOR'S DEGREE TO EVEN BE CONSIDERED BY AN ATTORNEY'S OFFICE FOR SERIOUS HIRE. A DEGREE NOT OFFERED BY VIRGINIA UNIVERSITY.
FOR THAT KIND OF MONEY I COULD HAVE DONE SEVERAL SEMESTERS AT HARVARD LAW SCHOOL.
THEY ALSO HAD A HIDDEN CLAUSE THAT IF THERE WAS ANY REFUND DUE ME DEOM MY FINANCIAL AID THAT THEY WOULD KEEP IT AND APPLY IT TO PAYING DOWN MY LOAN BUT I LEARNED LATER THAT WOULD NOT BE THE CASE --IT WOULD JUST VANISH. ALL OF MY GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, PERSONAL CASH WOULD BE TAKEN BY THEM AND I WOULD STILL HAVE TO PAY THE LOAN BACK.
WHERE WOULD THE MONEY GO? TO THE SCHOOL OF COURSE.
I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET A JOB WITH THE HALF-BAKED TRAINING THAT THEY GIVE THERE. AND SO IT WOULD BE LIKE I HAD TO START ALL OVER WITH ALL OF THE DEBT AND I WOULD BE WORSE OFF THAN BEFORE AND STILL NO JOB.
NO WONDER THE US SENATE HELD A HEARING ON THE PROBLEM THIS JULY AND AUGUST 2010.
THE FOR-PROFIT PRIVATE TRACE SCHOOLS HAVE BECOME A PROBLEM FAR GREATER THAN THE USELESS DIPLOMAS AND BAD TRAINING THAT THEY GIVE.
IT HAS BECOME A FULL-FLEDGED CRIMINAL ENTERPRISE, DEFRAUDING STUDENT VICTIMS EVERY WHERE THEY CAN..
NOW YOU NEED TO FDIGHT BACK AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO CALL BOTH OF YOUR U.S. SENATORS AND TELL THEM
NO FEDERAL MONEY FOR THESE FOR-PROFIT, PRIVATE TRADE SCHOOLS AND ONLINE DIPLOMA MILL SCHOOLS --NO STUDENT LOANS WORK-STUDY OR PELL GRANTS.
IF THEY CANNOT TEACH USEFUL JOB SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU FIND WORK IN THE REAL WORLD --WE NEED TO SHUT THEM DOWN!

First off, NO IT'S NOT YOUR MONEY. It's called Financial Aid, beause the Government LOANS you the money to go to school.
Secondly, if you were selected for verification, then your loan cannot be certified until that process is completed. So, depending on how quick you provided those documents, it may or may not have delaying certification.
It's funny, all these people complain about the same things. You only hear what you want to hear. This is a loan, that is given to you with specific requirements you must meet in order to obtain.
And, you filled out very specific paperwork, stating you understood the terms and conditions that come with using financial aid.
Let me remind you, that going to school is a privilige, not a right. And please remember, this is not free money, it's student loans or grants.
Please do us all a favor and educate yourself before enrolling in a degree program, next time.

No financial problems

I am a student at the Axia College of University of Phoenix. I have been attending school with them since February 9, 2009. I recieved my financial aid shortly after I registered and got my reimbursement on the 23rd of February. My classes are always paid for and whatever they do not use for my books, tuition, and other expenses they send back to me. I have never had a problem with recieving my loans or had any problems with my lenders. I am not saying that this did not happen to you, I'm just saying it does not always happen. I am proof that this is not a problem all of the time. Maybe you could ask to speak to Elyse Evans, she is an academic advisor. She is the one who helped me when I first registered for school. She is extremely nice and very helpful.
