BB&T rips off widow!! My father died, the $1000.00 life insurance BB&T gives you cannot be got if widows name is not on account, even tho it is supposed to go to her. So who wins with BB&T insurance,no one but BB&T. They say widow cant have money unless she is adminstrix of the estate or on account. Cross all your T's & dot your I's with BB&T

Excuse me but isn't it true that the $1,000 benefit from BB&T is something they offer to their clients for free? This is not a TRUE life insurance policy but a teeny little fringe benefit of banking with BB&T... Did you ever look into the details of this little freebie? I'm guessing that the only time you ever looked at it was AFTER the fact.

These little freebie policies are basically useless anyway. A thoughtful person would make sure they had the right amount of life insurance in place with a real INSURANCE COMPANY...not a bank.

A lot of these policies are "accident only" which leaves a huge gap in coverage when it comes time for it to be used.

Seek the advice of a competent life insurance professional before this happens to your beneficiaries.
