Made an online purchase from the company and ordered the wrong size item by mistake. OK, that was my fault. Wanted to exchange the unopened item for the correct size. Their return policy, per the FAQ on their website, reads as follows:
Do you accept returns?
Because of the nature of our products we will only accept unused products with a return authorization number. Please do not attempt to return a product without contacting us first. Returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee. Defective products can be exchanged within 30 days.
Contacted them to get an RMA and got this reply:
"I had to double check on this one, but unfortunately, since this item comes in contact with bodily fluids, we cannot have it returned to us for an exchange. Even unopened, we would have to dispose of it."I don't see how they can refuse the return since the item was unopened and, in addition, they make no mention of any exclusions in their posted policy.
I will not buy from them again and suggest you avoid them as well since they have deceptive business practices.

First, the fact that you've now changed your policy doesn't change the fact that the published policy at the time of purchase has been ignored. If you were reputable you would admit your error, and you must believe you were in error to have changed the policy, and accept the return as your policy indicated.
Second, the item in question is in a heat-sealed cellophane-like wrapper. There is no way it could be opened and resealed w/o it being obvious. So that excuse doesn't hold water.
