When it finally got her 2 days after he told me it would be here, he called us and asked us to rush down there to sign paper work that way the dalivery drivers could drive my tade in back to the Sioux City, IA store. We were excited it was finally her and they had been waiting about 30 minutes for us so they were getting anxious to get going. We walked in the door and the car sales man asked us to sign the paper work so the dalivery drivers could get on the road.
This threw red flags up after I completed the paper work, I then took the keys to drive it around the block quick. (Mind you it's dark out and 8:00pm at night) It seemed to sound alright so I went with the deal. My wife right away noticed that the DVD player didn't have headsets or the remote, she asked the sale guy about it and he said "Sometimes their missing and it's sold as is, but we'll see what I can do."
The next day my wife took the SUV through the car was since Billion no longer washes and details their used vehicales anymore. On her way she thought the SUV had a vibration to it when driving it, that didnt seem right. It was at this time she noticed that the carpets were stained up pretty bad,the front driver side door handle was about to fall off, there were alot of spots on the body that were touched up with paint, the front drivers side wheel was full of grease, and that the front bumpers paint was shattered because it had hit something.
At this point we were upset because we were told it was in excellent condition. I called up my sales guy and mentioned the most important issues, the wheel being full of grease and the door handle about to fall off. We assumed that their was a problem with the front wheel with how much grease was built up in the rim, and that it was probably the reason why it would vibrate while driving.
After several calls to try and get this looked at, I finally went in there and talked to them and the next day it was in the shop. They fixed my door handle and the boot kit for the front wheel. They then charged me $100 to have that done. This issue made me furious that they expected me to pay a portion of the bill. I was so tired of dealing with them I ate the $100.
This still didn't seem to fix the vibration. About 2 weeks after this was fixed we saw that the SUV was leaking oil in our garage. Sick to our stomachs we took it to Valvoline to be looked at. The guy there showed me that my oil filter had almost fallen off and was leaking oil because of it. Billion had been the last ones to change the oil. (imagine that) They topped off my oil and sent me on my way!
On January 18, 2013 we went on our first road trip with it. It was a 6 hour drive and right away I was nervous because of the vibration that something was wrong. Three hours into the trip we had stopped at a gas station to stretch out and take a break. As we pull away from the gas station we hear a loud grinding noise on the front driver side. I got out to look at it and could figure it out nor could my brother in-law. We then thought maybe a rock got cought in between the break pad and rotor. We began our trip again and noticed that it would grined then stop, once on the interstate we hear a howling noise.
These noises would come and go, so I pull off the side of the road at one point to check to make sure all of my lugnuts are tight, worried I might loose my wheel. They were all tight so we slowed down and took it easy the rest of the way.
The next morning I took the front driver side wheel off to see if it was a rock or if I need to change my breaks and rotors. No rock, and the breaks were like brand new. Really nervous now I take it to a Chevy dealer ship in town to have them look at it.
The machanic lifted it up and right away took me to the front passanger side wheel and waboled it back and forth. He was surprised we made it this far with out loosing our wheel entirely. Sick to my stomache he then tells me its going to cost $439 for a new wheel hub plus labor totaling $600. I can't get home without having it fixed so I have him fix it. As he is working on it he then tells me that the engine coolent lines are leaking too, but that could wait.
At this point I called my sales guy to let him know about my problems but of course I get his voicemail. I left a short message telling him to call me back. He then text me telling me I need to call another guy and talk to him about my issues. Now I dont know where to go with my problems.
