Brown's Distinctive Home Designs & Improvements LLC is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Mr. James Brown is the owner of this company and the only person I have a complaint about. I had Mr. Brown replace my garage door in April 2011, I paid Mr. Brown $200 dollars to install the door. I had to leave town on the day he installed it so I did not see the end results until I came back. Even a blind man could of seen that the garage door was not installed right. It would barley go up and wobbled, left to right and made a very loud noise when going up. Turned out that Mr. Brown did not replace anything but the door itself. He left the old springs, pulleys and rails on, and just replaced the door. I contacted Mr. Brown, and it took him a month to get out and make the adjustments to the garage. Not to mention, he scheduled the repairs on several different times, only to not show up with out even a phone call. When he did show up to make the adjustments, it was like he was never there, the door still wobbled, and he only replaced the springs. It took me until August to get him out to make the repairs. When he did make the repairs the door still wobbled a bit, but all seemed to be fine until late August when the door collapsed and almost fell on me. When the door collapesed it broke the garage door, I once again contacted Mr. Brown, and he made an appointment to fix the door. Within a week and a half Mr. Brown canceled and rescheduled the appointment 9 times and did not show or call 3 different times. It was only after I threaten leagal action, did he actually come out and replaced the door on 9/6/11 along with the tracks and pulleys. After everything was replaced, he told me that he still had to make some adjustments, because the door was sticking when it opened. He made an appointment that Sunday at 7 am to adjust the door. I woke up early to make sure he would show, and of course he didn't. When I contacted him he said that he was not going to come out because he had tickets to the Football game, and he would be out to the house on Monday. When Monday came, of course he didn't show, now he is not returning my phone calls and it appears he has blocked my number. Do not trust this company, his prices are low, but they are not worth the headache!!!!!
