I started with a Dollar Store Developer in Las Vegas named MCN and they went out of business the next week. I search the internet for a Dollar Store franchise or a good Developer. I had my aunt check out this new company that I found in Florida called Buck Stores or Buck Dollar Store. She lives in Miami and did the search for me checking out this local company. At first they looked very good. They had a good rating from the local BBB. I thought I found my dream. When we started calling the store owners that they had listed on their web site, I was shocked. Most of the numbers were disconnected. I almost stopped at that point. I did more research on their web site. What really got my attention was their price list for items. I started with name brand products and was very shocked again. They listed the cost of item and most looked to be in the range of 70 cents and more. How can you make money at those prices ? I still kept trying with them but discovered their goal was to help very little in opening a store. It seemed they really wanted to be my supplier at very high costs. I decided they seem to be a scam. I kept looking for a good Dollar Store developer. I contacted a few dollar suppliers in California and they gave two other developers to contact. One was here in Vegas and the other was one out of Columbus Ohio. I have contacted both and I am trying to decide what developer to use. They both are checking out to be very good. I have not decided on what company to use but I will get a dollar store one way or the other. I can see I need help starting a store and will decide what company to use. Both check out great at this time. Beware of Buck Dollar or other names that turn out to Buck in disguise. I may open in Vegas or move back to Columbus Ohio and start there.

The reason my spelling had so many mistakes was because I was typing on a small lap top in a dark room with my wife sleeping. I could not turn on the main light in the room. We were staying in a small apartment after we sold our home before we moved to Ohio. The owner of Buck did say he was part of the problem that we had described he was not totally to blame.We disagree.
Some of their advertisements may have been misleading but he will try to fix it. Yes he is a small company operating out of a small office but he felt we misjudged him because the size of the office should not be important but we disagreed on that. If you are a small company quit trying to show that you are mega giant. You have the right to have as many web sites as you want but don't pretend you are the largest or best Dollar Store Developer in the USA. You may be the best or the worst just stop trying to fool people. We will agree that the truth should be what represents your company.
After the owner called and said he was sorry that was enough for us.That did show that we were accurate and he will try to be more up front.
Now again to the cry babies. Thank you for staying out my business.

Yo, Jonny Boy! Get a freaking cochlear implant so you can hear someone tell you what a jerk wad you are, because you obviously ain't getting the message from the printed word. You posted your idiotic business in a public forum, wrongly accusing an innocent company of ripping you off. They took nothing from you, but merely were lax in returning a follow up phone call. You didn't even want to do business with them, so why did you even care about their call? And you have the rank, freaking, audacity; the unmitigated utter gall, to tell us to mind our own business? My wife received a phone call from the owner of Buck Doll Stores and he said he was sorry for not getting back to me quicker. His employee had not given him my name, phone number or email address for a long period. We both agreed that I was not ripped off for any money but he did admit that maybe his ads were a little confusing and would like to say the same to my relative in Miami. I said his phone call and email was enough. He asked if I still had an interest and would make up for any problems that it may have caused my family. I said all I was looking for was his apology and it was settled. Im now in Ohio and looking for a different type of business.
Before I moved I was visited by an emoloyee of another Dollar Store Developer in Vegas to ask if I would contact his employer and explain that he was never involved in this complaint because he was leaving the company over this and wanted the record set. I sent him an email that he would show his boss after he left the company. He did not try to sell me a Dollar Store. That was not his intention of his visit. He did say that the two Dollar Developers that had closed in Vegas in the last few years were scammers and he knew little about Buck Dollar BAD OR GOOD. He explained that he was in this business for about 4 years and heard very little about them. It turned out we are both from the same area in Ohio and even got me a 20% discount from my moving companiy and he would like to stay in touch. I said would be great.
For the idiots that responded to this report over and over, please get a life. You caused more problems than solutions. Please start minding your own business.

First off, you made more than this one post about them here. Multiple posts about the same company and issue are a red flag to me that you are not totally on the up and up. Second off, we already had another poster bitch about Buck, from Portland, whose wonderful name I'll leave out, and she came off as a total loonie, so that even were her issues with Buck legit, it all got lost under a mountain of her lunacy. Third, I'm not seeing where you got ripped off. You had someone check Buck out, found their prices and services to be less than you would like, and took your business elsewhere. Good for you! Now where's the ripoff? From the posts I've read so far it appears Buck's business model is to basically become the A to Z nuts and bolts one stop merchandise supplier, for those who do not wish to go through the hassle themselves of importing shiploads of whatever from overseas, dealing with overseas factors, brokers, customs, shipping companies, truckers, having to order far more quantity of things than they're comfortable with, and who knows what else. If you found a better deal, again, wonderful for you. But again, where did you get ripped off?

I HAVE HAD FRIENDS CALL YOU AND GIVE YOU MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND THEIR PHONE NUMBERS TO BE CONTACTED. I HAVE TRIED LEAVING MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON RIP OFF A FEW TIMES AND THEY BLOCK IT, I NEVER SAID I MADE THE CONTACT TO YOU. IT WAS A RELATIVE LIVING IN MIAMI. THEY DID NOT LEAVE MY NAME BECAUSE THEY WERE DISGUSTED WITH YOUR COMPANY, I AM DEAF AND ONLY COMMUNICATE THROUGH EMAILS BUT YOU HAVE HAD NOT TRIED TO EMAIL ME OR CALL MY FRIENDS IN LAS VEGAS EVEN ONCE. THIS SHOWS YOU DO NOT CARE AND WILL KEEP LYING ABOUT NOT HAVING MY CONTACT INFO BUT YOU HAVE HAD IT FOR A LONG TIME. I AM MOVING TO OHIO SOON TO OPEN A DIFFERENT RETAIL STORE BUT I WANT EVERYONE KNOW THAT YOU LIE AND HAVE NEVER TRIED TO CONTACT ME SO THIS SHOWS ALL OF US YOU ARE A SCAMER. YOU MAY HAVE A GOOD BBB RATING BUT THAT WILL START CHANGING. WE HAVE CONTACTED 20 OF YOUR STORES AND THEY ALL AGREED TO FILE COMPLAINTS ABOUT YOUR COMPANY, IF ANYONE CAN SHOW ME AN HONEST DOLLAR STORE DEVELOPER PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I HAVE TRIED MCN,ALLIED AND BUCK DOLLAR AND YOU ARE ALL A BUNCH OF LIARS. ITS LUCKY MCN AND ALLIED ARE OUT OF BUSINES. I CALLED ONE IN THE SOUTH AND THEY NEVER CALLED BACK, MAYBE THEY JUST DID UNDERSTAND THAT I AM DEAF AND WAS USING A SERVICE TO MAKE CONTACT. THE LAST ONE I FOUND SEEMED NICE BUT BY THEN I HAD CHANGE MY MIND. THEY WERE IN VEGAS. I DON'T REMEMBER THEIR NAME.
