Recently my sister set up a baby registry with Babies R Us. When they input her information they typed her address in wrong. We did not discover their mistake until AFTER many big items (such as the crib and changing table) had been purchased and were on their way to her house. After multiple phone calls to the store itself as well as the 1-800 number they provided us, the only answer they could give us was that we had to wait until the delivery was unsuccessful and returned to the warehouse before they could get the items re-shipped to the correct address.
This is yet another example of a complete lack of customer service. They made a mistake, and we have to suffer for it. I asked if they could ship new items now instead of wait until the current items were returned to the warehouse and was told no. It wasnt until I got nasty on the phone with them that they opened a case and said someone would contact me in a few days.
I am so tired of companies messing up, and then acting like the consumer just has to "suck it up" and deal with it. Where have all the reputible companies gone??
